Itinerary

Jerash has been inhabited for over 9000 years, and evidence to prove this fact has been found by archeologists. Jerash is very well preserved and only takes 2nd place behind Petra in tourism.

Ajloun is famous for the Ajloun castle that was built in 1184 by Muslims.  It shows the style of Islamic and Arab architecture.

Madaba is known for its mosaics, there is an ancient map of the holy land that has been very well preserved.  The map is located in the Greek Orthodox church.

Mt. Nebo is said to be the place where Moses was allowed to look at the Holy Land, but could not enter it.  This is a holy site for Christians, and they make pilgrimages to here every year.

Karak is known for its crusader castle with its endless passageways and its dark stone vaulted halls.  The population is over 170,000, and there are a lot of historical building to tour.

Petra is situated on the edge of the desert.  Today it is one of the seven wonders of the world.  It was built by the Nabateans thousands of years ago.  There are many impressive examples of the ancient Middle Eastern culture.  The most impressive is the Treasury which is 42 meters high, and made Petra famous.

Wadi Rum covers an area of over seven hundred kilometers in Southern Jordan.  The Nabateans left us evidence that they were here by the rock drawings on the sides of the mountains.  Hikers flock here to climb the strange mountain structures, that seem to pop out of the desert.

Aqaba is located on the Red Sea, and is Jordans' only seaport town.  Aqaba offers all of the water sports, including diving, snorkeling, and swimming.  For people that don't want to get wet, there is a marine park, and glass bottom boats.

Dead Sea being 33% salt in its waters, has been a sanctuary since ancient times.  People still come here from all over the world to soak in its soothing waters that are full of curative minerals.
