Itinerary

Petra became one of the seven wonders of the world only a few years ago, but it has been in existence for over 2000 years.  Petra was built by the Nabateans, and they prospered by building water cisterns, and in times of drought became very wealthy.  The Nabateans might have still been in Petra today if it wasn't for an earthquake which destroyed the water cisterns beyond repair.  There are over eight hundred structures to view in Petra including an amphitheater, temples, tombs, cisterns, and more.

Jerash has been inhabited for over 5000 years.  Today with its fertile land, the people grow a many different tipes of fruits and vegetables. Jerash is famous for its Greco Roman ruins of the city Gerasa.  There were many excavations done here.

Madaba is known for its ancient mosaics.  There is a very famous map of the Holy Land that was found in 1896.  Excavations are still ongoing today in Madaba.
