Jerusalem with thousands of years of history behind it. One of the most amazing and unique places to visit in the world. Jerusalem has survived many wars and occupations over thousands of years. All of the major religions consider Jerusalem to be their own, the Christians, the Jews, and the Moslems. The Christians have the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where it was said that Jesus was crucified. The Jews have the Temple Mount with the Western Wall, where the first and second holy temples once stood. The Moslems have the Dome of the Rock, where it is believed that Muhammad rose to heaven with the angel Gabriel.
Dead Sea is devoid of animal or plant life because of the 33% salt content. The Dead Sea is said to be a cure for most skin ailments, and the water is very soothing for aches and pains. It is located at the lowest point on Earth.
Bethlehem is the birthplace of Jesus, and is very holy to the Christian religion. Thousands of Christians make the pilgrimage here every year on Christmas.
We start early in the morning around 6:00 a.m. You will be picked up from your hotel in Eilat. Traveling through the Arrava, we will arrive at the Dead Sea. We will enjoy the Dead Sea for one hour and then continue to the holy city of Jerusalem. In Jerusalem we will visit Mount Olives for a panoramic view of the old and the new city Gat Shaman, the tomb of Miriam, and then we continue to Bethlehem. In Bethlehem you will see where Jesus was born, and we will visit a couple of very old churches.
After the tour in Bethlehem, we stop for lunch
Then we pay a visit to the old city of Jerusalem. The christen quarter, the "Via Delarosa" the
church of the holy sepulcher, the Golgotha, and the Wailing Wall.
After visiting old Jerusalem we start getting back to Eilat.
