Itinerary
Aqaba has been occupied since 4000 B.C. It is a tourist town today, with beautiful beaches, and some amazing diving. Aqaba has always been very important to Jordan being its only coastal town.
Petra has only recently been rediscovered, and made known to the Western world. More than 2000 years ago Petra was inhabited by the Nabateans, they are the ones that left us with this amazing site, which qualified to be called one of the seven wonders of the world. Another name for Petra is the Rose City, due to the rose colored stone mountains, as the day moves on so do the colors of the mountains change into dark red, pink, orange, and purple.
Wadi Rum is in Khaz'ali Canyon in the middle of the desert. This site has graffiti painted on the sandstone mountains that are thousands of years old. Wadi Rum has hundred of Bedouins residing in it, living in goat haired tents, but driving modern vehicles.
