Itinerario

Amman is the capital city of Jordan.  There are many historical sites to tour. Archeologists have been excavating the site since the 1920's, and are still continuing today. Tour the ruins of the Citadel, the Umayyad Palace, the Temple of Hercules, and the hand.  


A driver will pick you up from your hotel at 09:00 a.m.  Start the day with a tour of the Citadel located in downtown Amman.  Continue on to tour the Archeological Museum, where you can find artifacts dating back over 10,000 years.  Visit the Roman Theater that dates back to the 2nd century, with 6000 seats, and dates back to the period when the city was know as Philadelphia.  It was built into the hillside, facing north to keep the sun off of the spectators. Take a walk through Jabal Amman, which is one of the oldest parts of Amman. Today it is occupied by the wealthy.  Back to your hotels in Amman. Arrival back at your hotel about 17:00.
