Itinerario

Petra is a rose colored city residing in the heart of the desert.  As the sun sets, the mountains change to orange, red, and purple.  Walking through the Siq, is an experience in itself, it is a natural crack in the mountain, that leaves a way to pass through to get to the Treasury, and inside Petra.  The Nabateans were industrious workers, as Petra was built in the first century, the city grew to about 20,000 people.  The Nabateans prospered by selling water that they gathered from building water cisterns.  Over the years they built temples, a Roman theater, statues, and facades, bath houses, and much more.  Today there are hundreds of objects to view in Petra.

Day 1:

08:15 – pick up from your hotel in Eilat
09:00– cross the border and drive to Petra
11:30 – start the touring day
15:30 – lunch at local restaurant
17:00 – check in to your hotel and free evening  

Day 2:

08:00 – breakfast at hotel
09:00 – free time to explore Petra or surrounding markets
16:30 – pick up from hotel and drive to Wadi Rum for observation and pictures
18:30 – Arrival to Aqaba
19:00 – drive to border and passport control, transfer to your hotel in Eilat or the airport.
