Frequently Asked Questions

What time is pickup, and how do I confirm it?

Pickup times are listed above by city. You'll receive confirmation with your exact pickup location and time within 24 hours of booking. For Tel Aviv and Herzliya hotels, pickup is typically between 07:00-07:15. Jerusalem departures are earlier (around 06:00) due to the additional travel time.

Is this tour suitable for children?

Yes. Children of all ages are welcome, though the day is long (approximately 12 hours). Bring snacks, water, and entertainment for younger travelers. Children under 2 may travel free on a parent's lap.

Can I be baptized at the Jordan River?

Yes. Yardenit welcomes visitors who wish to be baptized. White robes and towels are available for rental or purchase on-site. If you wish to be baptized by a priest, you must contact Yardenit directly in advance to coordinate. Our guide does not arrange clergy services.

What should I wear?

Modest dress is required for religious sites. Shoulders and knees must be covered when entering churches. Comfortable walking shoes are essential. If you plan to be baptized, bring a change of clothes and a towel.

Is lunch included?

Lunch is not included. There will be an opportunity to purchase food during the tour. We recommend bringing snacks and water, especially for early departures.

How much walking is involved?

The tour involves moderate walking on uneven surfaces at archaeological sites. You should be comfortable walking for 20-30 minutes at a time. The pace allows for photos and rest stops.

What language is the tour conducted in?

This tour is guaranteed to depart in English. Depending on the day, it may be bilingual (English plus Spanish, French, or German). English guiding is always provided.

What happens if I'm picked up from Jerusalem?

Jerusalem guests depart earlier (06:00) due to the distance. In some cases, you'll be transferred to Tel Aviv to join the main group. The transfer is with an English-speaking driver, and guiding begins once the full group assembles.

Will I have time to swim in the Sea of Galilee?

This tour does not include a swimming stop. The focus is on the biblical and historical sites. If you wish to swim, consider booking a tour that includes beach time or extending your stay in the region.

Is the tour accessible for wheelchair users?

Some sites have limited accessibility due to ancient terrain and stairs. Please contact us before booking to discuss your specific needs, and we'll advise on what's possible.
