Five days, four regions and the places you have read about for years. This 5 day Israel tour covers the Mediterranean coast, the Old City of Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, a full day at a Dead Sea spa and ancient Jericho, with your hotel nights and daily transport already arranged. You unpack once in Tel Aviv, and every morning a driver collects you from the hotel lobby. No car rental, no route planning and no guessing at parking or checkpoints.
Each day has a clear theme. Day one follows the coast to Roman Caesarea, the hilltop town of Zichron Ya'akov and the terraced Baha'i Gardens in Haifa. Day two is Jerusalem and Bethlehem: the Western Wall, the Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Church of the Nativity. Day three heads north to Nazareth, Capernaum and the Sea of Galilee, with the option to be baptized in the Jordan River.
Then the pace slows. Day four is a relaxation day at a Dead Sea spa with lunch included, so you can float, try the mineral mud and rest your legs. Day five takes you to Jericho, one of the oldest cities in the world, for the Mount of Temptation, Elisha's Spring and a final swim in the Dead Sea. It is a balanced 5 day Israel tour for first-time visitors who want the highlights without rushing.
Choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels when you book, sharing a double room or travelling solo in a single room. The 5 day Israel tour departs daily with an English-speaking guide, and Russian, Spanish, French or German guiding can be arranged on request. Bring your passport every day, because Bethlehem and Jericho are in Palestinian Authority areas. Suitable for travelers aged 4 and up.
Numbers match the itinerary below. Solid lines are walking legs, dashed lines are drives. Map is for orientation only.
Your driver meets you in the lobby of your Tel Aviv hotel at 06:50 and the 5 day Israel tour starts along the Mediterranean coast. Travel time to Caesarea is about one hour. If you land the day before, add our airport transfer and an extra hotel night as booking extras. Read more about the city on the official Israel tourism site.
Explore the harbor city that King Herod built in honor of Caesar Augustus. Your guide walks you through the restored Roman theater, the hippodrome, the remains of Herod's palace and the Crusader walls by the sea. Caesarea is managed by the Israel Nature and Parks Authority. If you only have one day, our Caesarea, Haifa and Acre day tour covers the coast in depth.
Continue to Zichron Ya'akov, one of the first Jewish farming towns founded in 1882, set on the southern slopes of Mount Carmel. Stroll the pedestrian street and visit a local winery. At about 12:45 there is a lunch break (not included, or add our lunch package).
In Haifa you see the 19 terraces of the Baha'i Gardens falling down Mount Carmel toward the bay, with the golden-domed Shrine of the Bab at the center. The gardens are part of the Baha'i Holy Places UNESCO World Heritage site. At about 15:15 you start back to Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Pickup at 07:15 for Jerusalem. Drive along the Kidron Valley past the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, then enter the walled Old City of Jerusalem through Zion Gate. Walk the Byzantine Cardo and the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall, the last standing wall of the Second Temple compound.
Join the pilgrims on the Via Dolorosa and follow the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built over the traditional site of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. Time for the Old City market before leaving for Bethlehem. Want more time here? See our Jerusalem full day tour.
Walk across Manger Square to the Church of the Nativity, first built in 339 AD over the grotto where Jesus is said to have been born, and rebuilt in 565 AD. Your passport is needed for this visit. Back at your Tel Aviv hotel at about 18:00.
Pickup at 07:15 and drive north through the Jezreel Valley, with a view of Tel Megiddo, the biblical Armageddon. Stop at the Mount of Precipitation, then visit the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth, built where the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, and the Church of St. Joseph next door.
Pass Cana, where Jesus turned water into wine, and continue to the Sea of Galilee. At the foot of the Mount of Beatitudes you tour Capernaum, the home of Peter, and the Benedictine church at Tabgha that marks the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish. Our Nazareth and Sea of Galilee tour covers this route as a single day.
Drive past Tiberias, founded 2,000 years ago and named after the emperor Tiberius, with the Golan Heights in the background. Those who wish can be baptized in the Jordan River at Yardenit. On the way back you pass Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration. Back in Tel Aviv at about 18:00.
Pickup at 06:50 and arrive at a Dead Sea spa at about 09:30. The day is yours: float in the saltiest water on Earth, cover yourself in mineral mud and relax by the pools and the beach. Lunch is included today. You head back to Tel Aviv at 15:30. Learn more about the Dead Sea, or compare with our Dead Sea relaxation tour.
Day five explores Jericho, a city with about 10,000 years of history. See the Monastery of the Temptation on Mount Karantal (the cable car is optional, about $15), Elisha's Spring, the sycamore tree of Zacchaeus and the view toward the Monastery of St. George in Wadi Qelt. Your passport is required. Pickup time is confirmed the day before.
End the 5 day Israel tour with free time on a Dead Sea beach, then drive back to Tel Aviv. You can add a drop-off at Ben Gurion Airport if you fly out the same evening. For more ideas in the area, see our Bethlehem and Jericho day tour and the Israel Ministry of Tourism.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
