Border, visa and what to bring

We arrange the border crossing and explain the visa and border fees on each tour page before you pay. Bring a passport valid for at least 6 months, comfortable walking shoes and warm layers for desert nights. Tell us your nationality when you book so we can confirm what applies to you. Questions travelers ask

Still not sure? Message us and a real person from our Eilat office will answer.

Do I need a visa for Jordan?

Most visitors get their Jordan visa as part of the tour process, but the rules depend on your passport. Tell us your nationality when you book and we will confirm what applies to you and which fees are included in the price.

How long is a Petra day tour from Eilat?

Plan for a long, full day of about 12 hours. You start early with the border crossing near Eilat, spend the day in Petra with your guide and return in the evening.

Is a 2 day Petra tour worth it?

If you have the time, yes. Two days let you see Petra without rushing and add Wadi Rum, with an overnight in Jordan between the two.

How fit do I need to be for Petra?

Expect several kilometers of walking on sand and uneven stone. The walk to the Treasury is gentle, and your guide will help you decide how far to go beyond it.

What should I bring?

Your passport, comfortable closed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, water and some cash for small purchases. In winter, bring a warm layer for the early start.

What happens if the border is closed on my date?

If we have to cancel or change a tour because of the border, you choose between another date, a credit for a future trip or a refund.

What are the best tours in Jordan from Israel?

Petra is the main reason to cross. From Eilat, choose the Petra 2 day tour (from $240) or the Petra and Wadi Rum 2 day tour (from $416). From Tel Aviv, the Petra and Wadi Rum 2 day tour starts at $576 and the Petra 2 day tour at $400. All include border assistance and a licensed guide in Jordan.

Which tours visit both Petra and Wadi Rum?

The Petra and Wadi Rum 2 day tour visits both, from Eilat or Tel Aviv. You tour Petra with a guide, take a jeep safari of about 1.5 hours in Wadi Rum and sleep in a Bedouin glamping camp with dinner and breakfast.

What are affordable multi-day tours from Israel to Jordan?

The best value is the Petra 2 day tour from Eilat, from $240 per adult with a hotel night and lunch. Add about $140 per person for border fees and the Jordan visa on every Jordan trip. Tours with hotel or camp nights are non-refundable once booked.

What is a good Jordan tour for first-time visitors?

A 2 day Petra and Wadi Rum tour shows the two highlights of southern Jordan without long drives. Our team handles the border, your guide meets you on the Jordanian side, and you sleep in a desert camp. Bring a passport valid for 6 months and tell us your nationality when you book.

Is there a guided tour of Jordan that includes Amman and the Dead Sea?

Our listed Jordan packages focus on Petra and Wadi Rum. For Amman, Jerash or the Jordanian Dead Sea, message us on WhatsApp and we will build a private itinerary with hotels, a guide and border help.
