Get a quoteA day tour is the fastest way to see Petra, the rose-red city carved into the cliffs of southern Jordan. You cross the border, meet your licensed Jordanian guide and walk through the Siq to the Treasury, then return to Israel the same day. We arrange the border crossing and the visa process, and tell you exactly what to bring before you travel.
It is a long day with an early start. Border formalities on both sides can take up to an hour, and there is a fair amount of walking on uneven ground in Petra, so wear good shoes and bring sun protection and water. Bring a passport valid for at least 6 months, and tell us your nationality when you book so we can confirm the visa rules for you.
Day tours from Eilat can be cancelled for free up to 36 hours before. Tours that include flights are non-refundable. Want more time? A Petra 2 Day Tour or our Jordan package tours add a night in Jordan and Wadi Rum.

Most visitors get their Jordan visa as part of the tour process, but the rules depend on your passport. Tell us your nationality when you book and we will confirm what applies to you and which fees are included in the price.
Plan for a long, full day of about 12 hours. You start early with the border crossing near Eilat, spend the day in Petra with your guide and return in the evening.
If you have the time, yes. Two days let you see Petra without rushing and add Wadi Rum, with an overnight in Jordan between the two.
Expect several kilometers of walking on sand and uneven stone. The walk to the Treasury is gentle, and your guide will help you decide how far to go beyond it.
Your passport, comfortable closed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, water and some cash for small purchases. In winter, bring a warm layer for the early start.
If we have to cancel or change a tour because of the border, you choose between another date, a credit for a future trip or a refund.
