This 4 day Petra and Wadi Rum tour from Eilat gives you time to see Jordan's two great desert sights properly, without a rush back to the border on the same day. You cross at the Arava border with help from our team, spend two nights in Petra with a guided visit of the ancient city, and then sleep at a Bedouin camp in Wadi Rum. Breakfast and dinner are included every night, along with lunch, entrance fees and a tour guide.
Day 1 takes you from Eilat across the border and north to Petra in time for dinner at your hotel. Day 2 is Petra day: a guided walk through the Siq to the Treasury, the theater and the old Roman road, then a climb to the Monastery at your own pace. On day 3 you drive to Wadi Rum for a jeep tour of up to four hours and a night at a Bedouin camp. Day 4 brings a short panoramic tour of Aqaba before you return to Eilat.
This 4 day Petra and Wadi Rum tour from Eilat suits travelers staying in Eilat who want more than a quick day trip, photographers who want time in the desert, and anyone curious about Bedouin life. Two nights in Petra mean you are not racing the clock, so you still have the energy for the Monastery stairs. A night at the camp turns Wadi Rum from a quick stop into a real desert experience.
Pickup is from your Eilat hotel or the Eilat central bus station, and the tour ends at your Eilat hotel or at Ramon Airport. Choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels for the two Petra nights, priced per person in a double room for 2 or more travelers or in a single room if you travel solo. The third night is at the Bedouin camp. Children and infants pay lower rates on the double room options, and the booking form shows the exact price for your option and number of travelers. Because the hotel nights are pre-paid, the tour is non-refundable. Short on time? Your 4 day Petra and Wadi Rum tour from Eilat begins with pickup from your hotel or from the central bus station in Eilat. A short drive brings you to the Arava border crossing, a few minutes from the Red Sea.
At the crossing one of our team meets you and helps with the border formalities. Keep your passport and any cash for fees within reach. Once in Jordan you head north through the desert toward Petra.
You arrive at your hotel in Petra for dinner and the night. Lunch on this tour is served late, so eat a good breakfast before you leave Eilat.
After breakfast your guide leads you from the main gate along the Siq, a narrow gorge cut through the sandstone, to the Treasury. Its carved facade is the view most people picture when they think of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The guided walk continues to the Nabataean theater and along the paved Roman road, the Cardo, down to the basin area. Your guide explains the story of the city and the people who carved it.
From the basin you can climb the long rock-cut stairway to the Monastery at your own pace. This part is self-guided, so take water and allow time for the walk back. Our Petra visit guide has tips for the climb.
You return to your hotel for dinner and a second night. If one of your Petra evenings falls on a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday, you can add the Petra night light show on the booking form.
A jeep tour of up to four hours takes you between sandstone mountains, red sand and narrow canyons. Bedouin families have lived here for centuries, and some of the paintings on the rocks are thousands of years old. Bring sunglasses and a scarf for the dust.
You check in at a Bedouin camp for dinner and the night. It is a chance to experience Bedouin hospitality and the quiet of the desert after dark.
After breakfast you transfer to Aqaba, Jordan's only port on the Red Sea, for a short panoramic tour. It is a relaxed end to the trip before the border.
You cross back into Israel and are dropped off at your hotel in Eilat or at Ramon Airport. If you fly out the same day, send us your flight time when you book.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
