Private Tours in Israel
Follow Israel's Mediterranean coast north through 2,000 years of history, with your own guide and vehicle. This private Caesarea Haifa Acre tour combines Herod's Roman port, the golden-domed Bahai Shrine above Haifa Bay, the sea caves of Rosh Hanikra and the Crusader halls of Acre in one full day. You set the pace, so there is time for photos, coffee by the sea and the stops that interest you most.
Your private Caesarea Haifa Acre tour starts at Caesarea National Park, where a Roman theater still faces the sea next to Herod's palace, the hippodrome and the Crusader gate. Driving up Mount Carmel, you pause at a viewpoint over the terraced Bahai Gardens and Haifa's busy port.
At the Lebanese border, a short cable car ride drops you to the Rosh Hanikra grottoes, where waves have carved white chalk cliffs into glowing turquoise tunnels. The day ends in Acre, a UNESCO-listed walled city, with its underground Crusader knights' halls, the Templars' Tunnel and a lively Old City market.
Pickup is from your hotel or home in Tel Aviv, with Herzliya and Jerusalem pickups available, around 08:30 and flexible on request. Plan for about 10 hours on this private Caesarea Haifa Acre tour. Your private guide and driver meet you at your hotel or home in Tel Aviv. Herzliya and Jerusalem pickups are possible, and the start time is flexible. The drive north follows the coast past Herzliya and Netanya.
Explore Caesarea Maritima, the Roman port King Herod built to honor Caesar. See the restored theater facing the sea, the remains of Herod's reef palace, the hippodrome where chariots raced, and a copy of the Pilate Stone that names Pontius Pilate.
Before leaving, walk through the reconstructed Crusader gate and along the moat and walls that protected the medieval town, a reminder of the Crusader era on this coast. There is time for coffee by the old harbor.
Drive up Mount Carmel to a viewpoint above the 19 terraces of the Bahai Gardens, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The golden-domed Shrine of the Bab sits at the center, with Haifa's port and bay below. See the official Bahai Gardens site for visiting hours.
At Israel's northern tip, ride a short cable car down the white cliffs to the Rosh Hanikra grottoes. Walk through tunnels carved by the waves, where sunlight turns the water a bright turquoise.
Take a lunch break in Acre's Old City, famous for its hummus and fresh fish. With a private tour you choose the timing, and your guide suggests local favorites.
Explore the vaulted knights' halls of the Hospitaller fortress, part of the Old City of Acre UNESCO World Heritage Site. Huge pillars and arched chambers show how important Acre was as the Crusaders' main port.
Walk through the Templars' Tunnel, a 350 meter passage that once linked the Templar fortress to the port, then wander the covered market lanes toward the sea. For a shared version of this coastal day, see the Caesarea Haifa Acre tour.
Drive back south and arrive at your hotel or home in Tel Aviv, Herzliya or Jerusalem in the evening. Visiting Haifa by cruise ship instead? Ask about the Galilee shore excursion.

You pay one total price for your whole private group, not a price per seat on a bus. The total depends on group size, with price bands for 1 to 3, 4 to 6, 7 to 13 and 14 to 16 guests, because a bigger group needs a bigger vehicle. Pick your date and the number of travelers, and the booking form shows the exact total for your group.

The tour stops at a viewpoint above the gardens, which gives the best panoramic photo of the terraces and Haifa Bay. Guided walks inside the gardens run on a separate schedule and dress code set by the Bahai World Centre. Ask us if you want to add one.
It is a short, steep ride down the cliff in a small cabin and takes only a couple of minutes. The Rosh Hanikra grottoes have a short walking path inside, which can be wet and slippery, so wear shoes with good grip.
The Crusader halls are wide and easy to walk. The Templars' Tunnel is narrow and dimly lit in places, which some guests with claustrophobia may not enjoy. Your guide can skip it. Learn more about Acre before you go.
