Israel Package Tours
Spend one day walking through 2,000 years of faith and the next one floating at the lowest point on Earth on this Jerusalem Bethlehem Dead Sea 2 day tour. It pairs the holy sites of Jerusalem and Bethlehem with a slow, sunny beach day at the Dead Sea. Hotel pickup from Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, a licensed English-speaking guide and one night in a tourist class hotel with breakfast are all part of the package.
Day 1 is the busy one. You start with the panorama from the Mount of Olives, enter the Old City at Zion Gate, see the Western Wall and walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, with time in the bazaars before you cross to Bethlehem for the Church of the Nativity and Shepherds' Field. Day 2 slows right down. You drive past the Inn of the Good Samaritan to the Dead Sea, float in the salty water, try the black mineral mud and relax on the beach before heading back past the Qumran caves.
This Jerusalem Bethlehem Dead Sea 2 day tour works well for couples, friends and pilgrims who want the sacred sites and some real downtime in the same trip. Trying to fit the Old City, Bethlehem and a swim into one day is a long, hot rush. Splitting it over two days means you can take your time inside the churches, then let the Dead Sea do its work the next morning with no clock to beat.
Pick Tel Aviv or Jerusalem as your pickup city when you book. Prices are per person and depend on whether you choose a double, triple or single room, and the booking form shows the exact price for your date. The Jerusalem Bethlehem Dead Sea 2 day tour includes a pre-paid hotel night, so it is non-refundable. Want more time on the water? See our Dead Sea relaxation day tour, add the Christian Jerusalem day tour, or compare other Israel package tours. Check open dates and book your seats now.
Numbers match the itinerary below. Solid lines are walking legs, dashed lines are drives. Map is for orientation only.
Pickup is at around 07:15 from hotels in Tel Aviv or about 08:30 from hotels in Jerusalem. Your pickup window can open 30 to 60 minutes earlier, and we confirm the exact time the day before. Bring your passport, since Bethlehem is on today's route.
Start high on the Mount of Olives, looking over the old Jewish cemetery to the Temple Mount and the golden Dome of the Rock. On the drive down the Kidron Valley you pass the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations and the rock-cut tombs of Absalom, Jehoshaphat and the Hezir family.
Walk into the Old City of Jerusalem through Zion Gate and cross the Armenian Quarter. Follow the restored Byzantine Cardo, now lined with shops, to the Western Wall, once part of the outer wall around the Second Temple.
Trace the Via Dolorosa, stopping at several Stations of the Cross, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre at Golgotha. Afterward you wander the busy markets of the Christian and Muslim Quarters, a good moment to buy lunch at your own cost.
Cross to Bethlehem and enter the Church of the Nativity from Manger Square. It is one of the oldest churches still in daily use, and a star in the grotto below marks the birthplace of Jesus, although the grotto is not always open to groups when crowds are heavy. You also see the Armenian Chapel of the Magi and go down from the Church of Saint Catherine to the cave where Saint Jerome spent 30 years translating the Bible.
Visit Shepherds' Field, where the Gospel of Luke says an angel appeared to shepherds on the first Christmas night. The small Church of the Angels, designed by architect Antonio Barluzzi, tells the story in bright wall panels. On the way back you pass the Field of Ruth.
Check in at your tourist class hotel after a full day on your feet. The evening is free, and the hotel name and location are listed on your booking voucher. Breakfast is ready in the morning before your beach day.
After breakfast you head east past the Inn of the Good Samaritan and stop at the marker where the road dips below sea level. From here you can see Jericho, the city of Joshua's fallen walls, in the distance.
Arrive at a Dead Sea beach more than 400 meters below sea level. The water is so salty that you float without effort, even if you cannot swim. Keep your face dry and enjoy the view of the Moab Mountains across the water.
Cover yourself in the dark mineral mud, let it dry in the sun and rinse off in the sea. The dry desert air and thick haze filter the strongest sun rays, which is one reason people have come here for wellness since ancient times. The rest of the time is yours to swim, read or simply relax.
On the drive back you pass the Qumran caves, where shepherds found the 2,000 year old Dead Sea Scrolls in the cliffs. Your guide shares the story of how the scrolls were discovered and why they matter.
You are dropped off at your hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem in the late afternoon or early evening, depending on traffic. Expect to arrive relaxed, with soft skin and plenty of photos.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.

Yes, carry your passport on both days. Bethlehem is in the West Bank and the route passes checkpoints. At churches and the Western Wall, men and women must cover knees and shoulders, and shorts are not allowed. For the Dead Sea, wear or pack swimwear and flip-flops.
Day 1 is the active day, with about 3 to 4 hours of walking on stone streets, ramps and steps in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Day 2 is easy, with short walks to the beach and lots of time to rest.
Children aged 4 and up are welcome. The tour is not suitable for children under 4. Kids pay the same per-person rate as adults because pricing is based on hotel rooms. Watch younger swimmers closely at the Dead Sea, since salty water stings the eyes.
Breakfast at the hotel on day 2 is included. Lunches, dinners and drinks are at your own cost, and your guide makes stops where you can buy food.
Bring swimwear, a towel, flip-flops, sunscreen, a hat and plenty of water. Avoid shaving the day before, as small cuts sting in the salt water. Also pack your passport, walking shoes for day 1 and a light scarf for the churches.
