If you have four days and want to see the places everyone talks about, this 4 day Israel tour links the big names into one guided trip. You walk the Old City of Jerusalem, ride the cable car up Masada, float in the Dead Sea, follow the coast from Caesarea to Acre and finish around the Sea of Galilee. Three hotel nights with breakfast and hotel pickup from Tel Aviv keep the logistics simple.
Day 1 is Jerusalem, old and new: the Mount of Olives view, the Western Wall, the Via Dolorosa, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Cardo, Mount Zion and Yad Vashem. Day 2 drops into the Judean Desert for Masada, a look at the Qumran caves and a float and mud bath in the Dead Sea. Day 3 follows the Mediterranean north to Caesarea, Haifa, the grottoes of Rosh Hanikra and the Crusader halls of Acre. Day 4 brings the Gospel story to life in Nazareth, Capernaum and at the Jordan River at Yardenit.
This 4 day Israel tour is a good fit for first-time visitors, couples, families and anyone on a short trip who wants the highlights without planning four separate days. Each day has one clear theme, so you are not jumping between regions, and the hotel nights in between make the early starts easier. It covers Jewish, Christian and Roman history in one loop, with a licensed guide to connect the stories.
Pickup is from hotels in Tel Aviv at around 07:15, and exact pickup times are confirmed after booking. The package includes 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis and entrance fees to the sites on the route, including the Masada cable car. Choose a 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotel package, then a double room per person for 2 or more travelers or a single room if you travel solo. Children pay a lower child rate, and the booking form shows the exact price for your hotel level and travelers. Because the hotels are pre-paid, the 4 day Israel tour is non-refundable. Your guide collects you from your Tel Aviv hotel at around 07:15. Exact pickup times are confirmed after booking and can be a little earlier depending on your hotel. The drive up to Jerusalem takes about an hour.
Start with the classic panorama from the Mount of Olives, looking over the Temple Mount and the new city beyond. You then follow the Kidron Valley for a view of the Garden of Gethsemane and the Old City walls.
Enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the Armenian Quarter and reach the Western Wall square through the local bazaar. From there you cross into the Christian Quarter and follow the Stations of the Cross on the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the traditional site of the crucifixion.
Walk along the 1,700-year-old Byzantine Cardo, once the main street of the city, through the Jewish Quarter. Then climb to Mount Zion. On Saturdays the group also visits the Room of the Last Supper and King David's Tomb here.
Drive through the new city to Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust memorial and museum. On Fridays, Saturdays and Jewish holidays, when the museum is closed, the tour visits King David's Tomb, the Room of the Last Supper and the Garden of Gethsemane instead. Children under 10 are not admitted to the museum.
Check in to your hotel at the level you booked. Hotel names are sent with your confirmation after booking. The evening is free, and breakfast is served before day 2.
After breakfast you are picked up from your hotel and head down into the Judean Desert, passing the Inn of the Good Samaritan on the way. The road drops far below sea level as the hills turn bare and golden.
Ride the cable car up to Masada, the 2,000-year-old fortress and palace complex built by King Herod on a desert cliff. Your guide walks you through the palaces and bathhouses and tells the story of the rebels' last stand against Rome.
Drive north along the shore past the Ein Gedi oasis to Qumran. From the lookout you see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, some of the oldest Bible texts ever discovered.
Time for a float in the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, where the salty water holds you up without any effort. Cover yourself in the dark mineral mud, known for its soothing effect on the skin, then rinse off in the sea.
On the way back to Jerusalem you get a view over Jericho and the old Roman road that once climbed from the Jordan Valley to the city. Then it is back to your hotel to rest.
Settle in for your second night with breakfast included. Dinner is on your own, so you are free to rest or explore. Day 3 starts after breakfast with pickup from your hotel.
Head north to Caesarea, the ancient Roman capital and port built by King Herod. You take a walking tour of the Roman theater, the archaeological ruins and the excavations along the sea.
Continue to Haifa and drive up Mount Carmel for a scenic view of the Baha'i Gardens, the city and the port. The terraced gardens are one of the most photographed sights in Israel.
Drive up the coast to Rosh Hanikra on the Lebanese border. You visit the limestone grottoes carved by the sea and look out over the border from the white cliffs.
Return by way of the Old City of Acre to explore the underground Crusader city and its crypt. Walk through the colorful Old City market before heading back to your hotel.
Your third and last night includes breakfast the next morning. The evening is yours to relax after a full day on the coast. Pack up before bed, since day 4 ends with drop-off.
After breakfast and pickup, drive through the coastal plain and the Jezreel Valley, the biblical Armageddon, to Nazareth. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, where tradition says the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, and the nearby Church of St. Joseph.
Pass Cana and the Church of the Multiplication on the way to Capernaum, the fishing village at the foot of the Mount of Beatitudes. This is where Jesus based his ministry by the Sea of Galilee.
Continue past Tiberias to Yardenit on the Jordan River, where participants who wish can join a baptismal service. Even if you do not take part, it is a peaceful spot to watch the river flow out of the lake.
On the return journey you pass Mount Tabor, the traditional site of the Transfiguration. The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
