Two ancient worlds, one trip: this 10 day Israel and Egypt tour pairs the holy sites of Jerusalem and the Galilee with the pyramids of Giza and the bazaars of Cairo. You start at Ben Gurion Airport, tour Israel from a Tel Aviv base, then fly south and continue to Cairo. A licensed guide, transportation, entrance fees, hotels with breakfast and the internal flight are all part of the package.
Day 1 is your arrival in Tel Aviv. Day 2 covers Jerusalem old and new, day 3 the highlights of the Galilee and day 4 the desert fortress of Masada. Day 5 is free, and day 6 visits Caesarea, Megiddo, Haifa and Acre. On day 7 you fly to Ramon Airport near Eilat and transfer to Cairo. Day 8 brings the Egyptian Museum, the pyramids and the Sphinx, day 9 Saqqara and the Khan el-Khalili bazaar, and day 10 is your transfer to Cairo airport.
This Israel and Egypt tour suits travelers who want to compare two great cultures in one journey, from Bible history to the age of the pharaohs. Ten days give each country real time, with a free day in the middle so you can rest or explore Tel Aviv on your own. It works well for couples, friends and first-time visitors to the region who would rather leave the planning to someone else.
A driver meets you at Ben Gurion Airport on day 1, and touring days start with pickup from your Tel Aviv hotel. The tour ends with a transfer to Cairo airport. You choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels, priced per person in a double room for 2 or more travelers, or a single room if you travel solo, and the booking form shows the exact price for your hotel level and number of travelers. The Israel and Egypt tour departs daily, subject to availability, and is non-refundable because hotels and the flight are pre-paid. Prefer a shorter trip? A driver meets you at Ben Gurion Airport and takes you to your hotel in Tel Aviv. The rest of the day is free to rest after your flight. You spend the night in Tel Aviv.
Your guide starts with the panorama from the Mount of Olives, then visits King David's Tomb, the Room of the Last Supper and the Dormition Abbey on Mount Zion. Inside the Old City of Jerusalem you walk through the Armenian and Jewish Quarters to the Cardo and the Western Wall, then follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The afternoon visit is Yad Vashem, and on Saturdays, when it is closed, you visit Ein Karem, Mary's Spring and the Church of St. John the Baptist instead. You sleep in Tel Aviv.
Your driver takes you to Nazareth for the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. You continue to Tiberias and along the shore of the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum, where you see the ruins of the ancient synagogue, and to the site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fishes. The last stop is the baptismal site where the Jordan River flows out of the lake, before you return to Tel Aviv.
The drive through the Judean hills brings you down to Masada, where you ride the cable car up with your guide. On top you explore the walls, Herod's palace, the synagogue, water cisterns, mosaic floors, Roman baths and the Roman barracks. After the tour you drive back to your hotel in Tel Aviv.
Enjoy a restful day at your own pace. Go shopping, spend time on the beach or simply relax, and if you would like more touring, we can add an extra day for a fee. You spend the night in Tel Aviv.
Start in Caesarea with its Roman theater, excavations and ruins by the sea. At Megiddo National Park you learn why this hill was fought over from Egyptian through Assyrian and Israelite times, then continue to Haifa for the Baha'i Gardens and Shrine. In Acre you tour the Crusader city and its crypt and walk through the market before returning to Tel Aviv.
In the morning you fly from Ben Gurion Airport to Ramon Airport near Eilat. From there you are transferred to Cairo, so expect a long travel day that includes the border crossing into Egypt. You spend the night at your hotel in Cairo.
Your Cairo touring starts at the Egyptian Museum, home to well over a hundred thousand ancient artifacts. You then head to the pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. In the evening you return to your hotel in Cairo.
Today you visit Saqqara, home to some of Egypt's oldest pyramids, including the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest known pyramid in the world. Afterward you wander through the Khan el-Khalili bazaar, where everything seems to be for sale. You spend your last night in Cairo.
After breakfast you are transferred from your hotel to Cairo airport. Check in for your flight home. Your Israel and Egypt journey ends here.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
