Israel Package Tours
The story of the Jewish people runs from the stones of Jerusalem to the desert cliffs of Masada and the hills of the Galilee, and this 6 day Jewish Israel tour takes you to all of it with an expert guide and zero planning on your part. Over six fully guided days you pray at the Western Wall, walk beneath the Jewish Quarter, stand on top of Masada, float in the Dead Sea, look into Syria from Mount Bental and explore the old synagogues of Safed. The last day follows the Mediterranean coast from Caesarea to Rosh Hanikra and Acre.
Day 1 covers the Old City and modern Jerusalem and ends at Yad Vashem. Day 2 goes deeper, with King David's Tomb, the Sephardic synagogues, the Herodian mansions and the City of David. Day 3 drops through the Judean Desert to Masada and the Dead Sea. Day 4 climbs into the Golan Heights for ancient Katzrin and the lookout on Mount Bental. Day 5 starts on a kibbutz, then visits the Banias springs, Nimrod Fortress and Safed. Day 6 heads up the coast to Caesarea, the Baha'i Gardens in Haifa, the Rosh Hanikra grottoes and Crusader Acre.
This 6 day Jewish Israel tour suits first-time visitors, families with kids aged 10 and up, and anyone who wants Jewish history explained where it happened instead of in a textbook. Six days is the right length for this route. Jerusalem gets two full days instead of one rushed one, the far north is reached without a long drive back on the same evening, and every hotel night is already arranged. Your only job is to be in the lobby on time.
On day 1 you are picked up from your hotel in Tel Aviv at around 07:15 or in Jerusalem at around 08:30, and the exact time is confirmed the day before. You spend 5 nights in tourist class hotels with breakfast, listed on your voucher, and one night may be at a kibbutz guesthouse in the north. Choose a double, triple or single room, and the booking form shows the per person price for your date and room. Because the hotel nights are pre-paid, the 6 day Jewish Israel tour is non-refundable. Short on time? Try the Jerusalem full day tour or the Golan Heights day tour, or compare all 6 to 8 day Israel tours. Pick an open date on the calendar and reserve your seats today.
Numbers match the itinerary below. Solid lines are walking legs, dashed lines are drives. Map is for orientation only.
Pickup from Tel Aviv hotels is at around 07:15 and from Jerusalem hotels at around 08:30. Pickups can begin 30 to 60 minutes earlier, and we confirm the exact time the day before. Have your passport with you every day of the tour.
The first view of the trip is the big one, from above the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives. Your guide points out the Temple Mount, where the First and Second Temples stood, and the old tombs of the Kidron Valley below.
Enter the UNESCO-listed Old City through Zion Gate and cross the Armenian Quarter into the Jewish Quarter. You walk the Byzantine Cardo, then reach the Kotel, the Western Wall, where Jews have prayed for almost 2,000 years.
Follow the Via Dolorosa through the Old City lanes to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, one of the most visited churches in the world. Your guide explains how the city's faiths and empires shaped this small corner of Jerusalem.
Leave through the market and Jaffa Gate for a short drive around the new city. The day ends at Yad Vashem, where artifacts, photos and testimony tell the story of the Holocaust and honor the Righteous Among the Nations. Children under 10 are not admitted to the museum.
Check in to your tourist class hotel, which is named on your booking voucher. Dinner is on your own, so the evening is free. Breakfast is served before day 2 begins.
After pickup from your hotel, the day opens with another view from the Mount of Olives and a drive down the Kidron Valley past the tombs of Absalom and Zechariah. On Mount Zion you visit the Tomb of King David, a place of prayer where men and women sit in separate sections.
Inside the Jewish Quarter you visit the Four Sephardic Synagogues, built in the 1600s and 1700s and restored after 1967. Then you walk the Cardo again to see the latest finds from the ongoing excavations.
See the foundations of a city wall built in the days of King Hezekiah about 2,700 years ago. Then step below today's streets into the Herodian mansions, where original mosaics and a ritual bath show how wealthy families lived in the Second Temple period.
Return to the Western Wall to leave a prayer note between the stones, then exit through Dung Gate to the City of David, the oldest part of Jerusalem. Your guide explains the water tunnels dug by the Canaanites and King Hezekiah, and you pause at the Gihon Spring, where Solomon was anointed king.
Head back to your hotel for a relaxed evening. Breakfast is served in the morning, and an early start brings you to the desert.
After hotel pickup, the road drops below sea level through the Judean Desert. You pass the Inn of the Good Samaritan and stop at the sea level marker, with Jericho visible in the distance.
Ride the cable car to the top of Masada, the cliff-top fortress King Herod turned into a desert palace. Your guide tells the story of the Jewish rebels who held out here against Rome until 73 CE. The park entrance with the round-trip cable car is paid on the day and is not part of the package price.
Drive back along the shore past the green oasis of Ein Gedi, where young David hid from King Saul. You also pass Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in hillside caves.
End the day on the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth. The salty water holds you up, so even non-swimmers can lie back and float.
Return to your hotel to rinse off the salt and rest. Breakfast is served before tomorrow's drive north.
After hotel pickup, the road runs north and then inland across the Jezreel Valley, the biblical Armageddon, with ancient Megiddo in view. Near the south end of the Sea of Galilee you stop for a wide view of the lake with the Golan Heights behind it.
Climb past Hamat Gader to the Shalom Observatory, then continue to Katzrin. You explore a village from the Talmud period with its synagogue, homes and olive press, built from black basalt. The Golan Antiquities Museum adds finds from the region and the story of Gamla, a Jewish city from the Second Temple era.
Finish on Mount Bental among old Syrian bunkers and trenches taken in the Six Day War. From the summit you look across the border to Quneitra and the UN zone, and the strategic value of the Golan becomes clear.
Tonight you sleep in northern Israel, and this night may be at a kibbutz guesthouse. The exact place is confirmed on your voucher, and breakfast is served in the morning.
The day starts with a short look around the kibbutz and how this unique community works. Then drive to the foot of Mount Hermon and the Banias, a nature reserve with springs, streams and the remains of a Roman shrine to the god Pan.
Explore Nimrod Fortress, a 13th century castle on a ridge above the Banias. Its towers and halls give you some of the best views in the Golan.
Stop for lunch at a Druze restaurant in the north, a good chance to try local food. Lunch is not included in the package, so bring cash or a card.
In the hill city of Safed, a center of Jewish mysticism, you visit the Ari and Caro synagogues and wander the galleries of the Artists' Quarter. Then you leave the Galilee and head south.
Check in to your hotel for the last night of the tour. Breakfast is served before the final day on the coast.
After hotel pickup, drive up the coast to Caesarea, the port city King Herod named for the Roman emperor. Walk past the Roman theater, the hippodrome and the remains of a temple that once overlooked the harbor.
Stop on Mount Carmel to see the Baha'i Shrine and its 19 terraces of gardens running down toward Haifa Bay. It is one of the best photo stops in northern Israel.
At the northern tip of Israel's coast, ride the short cable car down to the Rosh Hanikra grottoes. The sea has carved white chalk cliffs into caves and tunnels filled with deep blue water.
On the way south you explore the Old City of Acre, where people still live and shop inside Crusader and Ottoman walls. Your guide shows you the walls that stopped Napoleon and the old prison of the British Mandate era.
Ride back in the air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. Six days, from the Western Wall to the Lebanese border, are behind you.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
