This 4 day Nile cruise flies you from Cairo to Aswan and sails you down the river to Luxor on a 5-star cruise ship, with three nights on board. You see the High Dam and the Temple of Isis on Philae, the river temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu, the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, and the great temples of Karnak and Luxor. Internal flights, a licensed Egyptologist guide, entrance fees and most meals are included.
Day 1 starts with an early flight from Cairo to Aswan, a city tour with the High Dam, a motorboat ride to Philae and a felucca sail around the islands. On day 2 the ship sails to Kom Ombo and Edfu before continuing to Luxor. Day 3 is spent in the Valley of the Kings, with entry to three royal tombs and entertainment on board in the evening. On day 4 you check out, visit Karnak and Luxor Temple, and fly back to Cairo.
The cruise suits travelers who want the highlights of Upper Egypt without spending a week on the river. Flying one way saves a long overland trip, and sleeping on the ship means you unpack once while the scenery changes outside your cabin. It is a good fit for first-time visitors, couples and families who want to add a 4 day Nile cruise to a stay in Cairo.
The tour starts at 03:30 in Cairo for the early flight to Aswan, and exact pickup details are confirmed after booking. Cabins are priced per person when sharing a double cabin for 2 or more travelers, or as a single cabin if you travel solo. Children pay a lower rate in a shared cabin, and the booking form shows the exact price for your travelers. Because the cruise and flights are pre-paid, the 4 day Nile cruise is non-refundable. Want more of Egypt? See our 8 day Egypt tour with Nile cruise, the 2 day Cairo tour from Eilat, or combine three countries on the Israel, Jordan and Egypt tour. You settle into your cabin on the 5-star ship. Lunch and dinner are included today, and you sleep on board.
After breakfast the ship sails north to Kom Ombo. You visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a rare double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and to Haroeris.
The ship continues to Edfu for a visit to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon god Horus and one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. Afterward you return to the ship as it sails on toward Luxor.

After breakfast you cross to the Theban Necropolis and the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were buried. Your ticket includes entry to three royal tombs, with painted walls that still hold their color.
In the evening there is a sound and light show at Karnak temple. It is optional and not included in the price, so ask your guide if you would like to go.
