Overview

The Pyramids of Giza are closer to Eilat than most people think. This 2 day Cairo tour from Eilat collects you from your hotel in the evening, crosses the Taba border with our help and drives overnight to Cairo, so you wake up ready for the pyramids. You get two full touring days in Egypt's capital and a proper hotel night in between, instead of a single rushed day on the road.

Day one is the classic Cairo: the Great Pyramid, the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, the Sphinx, the Egyptian Museum with its mummies and royal treasures, and the busy Khan el-Khalili bazaar. After lunch you check in to your hotel for dinner and the night, with the option of an evening dinner cruise on the Nile.

Day two goes deeper. Visit Saqqara and the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the oldest stone pyramid in Egypt, then walk through Coptic Cairo, home to the Hanging Church, the Church of St. George and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. After lunch you drive back to the Taba border, arriving around midnight. It is the 2 day Cairo tour from Eilat for travelers who want to see Cairo properly without flying.

Choose a 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotel when you book, in a double room or a single room for solo travelers. Children and infants travel at reduced rates. The 2 day Cairo tour from Eilat departs every evening at 21:00 with an English-speaking guide in Cairo; Russian, French and Spanish guides can be added. You need a passport valid for 6 months, and we arrange your Egyptian visa at the border.
