Egypt Package Tours
This Cairo and Luxor tour from Eilat packs the two great names of ancient Egypt into four days. You see the pyramids and the Sphinx, the treasures of the Egyptian Museum, the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings and the huge temples of Karnak and Luxor, then finish in old Cairo. Two nights on a sleeper train with half board, three lunches, an English-speaking guide and entrance fees to the sites on the program are included.
You leave Eilat at night, cross the border at Taba and drive through Sinai to Cairo. Day 2 covers a famous Cairo market, the Giza pyramids, the Egyptian Museum and a city tour with time in the bazaar, before the night train south. Day 3 is all Luxor, with the west bank tombs and temples in the morning and Karnak and Luxor Temple in the afternoon, then the night train back. On day 4 you visit Coptic Cairo and the Citadel of Saladin and drive back to the Taba border.
The trip suits travelers on an Eilat holiday who want the highlights of Egypt without booking hotels or domestic flights. Sleeping on the train saves time, and adding Luxor makes this Cairo and Luxor tour from Eilat far more complete than a quick day trip to the pyramids. Expect early starts and long travel legs, so it works best for travelers with plenty of energy.
Pickup is from your Eilat hotel at 21:00 on day 1.
