Israel Package Tours
This nazareth and sea of galilee 2 day tour takes you to the places where the Gospel stories happened, from the hill town where Jesus grew up to the fishing villages on the lake where he taught. You get two fully guided days with a licensed English-speaking guide, hotel pickup in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, and one night in a hotel with breakfast. It is a calm, unhurried way to see the Christian heart of the Galilee.
Day 1 starts on Mount Precipice above Nazareth, then visits the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Church of Saint Joseph. In the afternoon you walk through Capernaum, see the Church of the Multiplication at Tabgha, and finish at Yardenit on the Jordan River, where you can be baptized if you wish. Day 2 slows down by the water. You visit the ancient synagogue at Magdala, the Jesus Boat at Ginosar, the Mount of Beatitudes and the Wedding Church in Cana before the drive home.
The Nazareth and Sea of Galilee 2 day tour suits pilgrims, church groups, couples and families with children aged 4 and up who want time to pray, read the Bible passages on site and take photos without watching the clock. Squeeze this route into one day and you spend half of it on the bus while racing past half the stops. Two days give every holy site the time it deserves, plus a quiet night in between.
Pickup is from your hotel in Tel Aviv at around 07:15 or in Jerusalem at around 06:00, and you are dropped back in the same city on day 2. The night is in a tourist class hotel with breakfast, confirmed on your voucher. Choose a double, triple or single room, and the booking form shows the exact per person price for your date. Because the hotel night is prepaid, this package is non-refundable. Only have one day? Try the Nazareth and Sea of Galilee day tour or the Christian Galilee tour, or browse all Israel package tours. Numbers match the itinerary below. Solid lines are walking legs, dashed lines are drives. Map is for orientation only.
Your guide collects you from your hotel at around 07:15 in Tel Aviv or 06:00 in Jerusalem. Pickups can begin 30 to 60 minutes earlier, and we confirm your exact time the day before. The road north follows the Mediterranean coast, then turns inland across the Jezreel Valley with a view toward Megiddo, the Armageddon of the Book of Revelation.
Your first stop is Mount Precipice, where Luke 4 tells how an angry crowd tried to push Jesus off the cliff. Today it is a quiet lookout over the Jezreel Valley and Mount Tabor. Your guide uses the view to explain the geography of the stories you will follow for the next two days.
In the center of Nazareth you visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, built over the grotto where tradition says the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary. Look for the artworks of Mary sent by Catholic communities from around the world. A short walk away, the Church of Saint Joseph stands where Joseph's carpentry workshop is believed to have been.
Drive past Cana toward the lake and walk among the dark basalt ruins of Capernaum, the fishing town Jesus made his base. See the remains of the ancient synagogue and the site honored as the house of Saint Peter. Nearby at Tabgha, the Church of the Multiplication keeps the famous mosaic of the loaves and fish.
Follow the shore south past Tiberias, the old town named for the Roman emperor Tiberius, to Yardenit, where the Jordan River flows out of the Sea of Galilee. Join a baptism in the river or simply watch and reflect. On the drive to your hotel, look for the rounded top of Mount Tabor, the traditional Mount of the Transfiguration.
Check in to your tourist class hotel for the night. The hotel name and location are on your booking voucher. Your evening is free to rest, find dinner at your own pace and get ready for day 2. Breakfast is served at the hotel the next morning before you set off.
After breakfast, drive through farmland and gentle hills back to the lake. At Magdala, the home town of Mary Magdalene, archaeologists found a synagogue from the Second Temple period where Jesus may well have preached. Standing on its stone floor is one of the most moving moments of the trip.
At Kibbutz Ginosar you see the Jesus Boat, a wooden fishing boat from the 1st century found in the mud when the lake dropped in 1986. It is the kind of boat the disciples would have used, and seeing it up close makes the Gospel fishing stories feel very real.
Continue to the Mount of Beatitudes, where an eight-sided church marks the traditional place of the Sermon on the Mount. Each side recalls one of the eight Beatitudes. The gardens slope down toward the water and give one of the most peaceful views of the whole trip.
The last visit is Kafr Kanna, the biblical Cana, where the Wedding Church remembers the first miracle of Jesus, turning water into wine (John 2). Married couples often renew their vows here, and local shops sell Cana wine as a keepsake.
Leave the Galilee behind and head south. You are dropped at your hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem in the evening, depending on traffic. Want to keep going? Our Christian Jerusalem day tour is the natural next chapter.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
Tour ends with: Drop-off at your hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem
Hotel pickup is at around 07:15 in Tel Aviv or 06:00 in Jerusalem. You choose your city when booking. Pickups can begin 30 to 60 minutes earlier, and we confirm your exact time the day before.

This tour includes flights or accommodation that are booked for you as soon as you book, so it is non-refundable, including no-shows. Border and visa fees are also non-refundable once paid. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation. If we cancel or materially change the tour, you can choose an alternative date, a credit or a full refund. Read the booking terms.
The price is per person and covers both guided days, hotel pickup and drop-off, an air-conditioned vehicle, a licensed English-speaking guide, one night in a tourist class hotel and breakfast on day 2. Your rate depends on the room you choose: a double room for 2 or more travelers, a triple room for 3 or more, or a single room if you travel alone or want your own room. There is one rate for everyone in a room, so children pay the same as adults. The booking form shows the exact price for your date, room type and pickup city.
We pick you up from your hotel in Tel Aviv at around 07:15 or in Jerusalem at around 06:00. You choose the city when you book. Pickups can start 30 to 60 minutes earlier depending on your hotel, and we confirm the exact time the day before. On day 2 you are dropped back at your hotel in the same city in the evening.
You spend one night in a tourist class hotel with breakfast the next morning. The hotel name and location are confirmed on your booking voucher. Rooms are clean and comfortable rather than luxurious, which keeps the package good value. Dinner is not included, so you are free to eat where you like.
This package is non-refundable because the hotel night is paid in advance when you book. If your plans change, contact us as early as possible. A move to another date may be possible on request, subject to availability.
This package currently departs on Wednesdays on a seasonal schedule. Check the calendar on this page for open dates. If you need a different day, ask us about the one-day Nazareth and Sea of Galilee tour.
Yes, carry a valid passport on both days, as it can be checked on the road and at the hotel. Churches require modest dress for men and women: knees and shoulders covered and no shorts. Guests who are not dressed correctly can be refused entry, so a light scarf or long pants in your bag is a smart idea.
The walking level is easy to moderate. Each stop involves short walks on paths, stone floors and a few steps, with plenty of time on the vehicle between sites. Comfortable shoes are all you need. If you have limited mobility, let us know before booking.
Children aged 4 and older are welcome. The tour is not suitable for children under 4. Kids share a room with their parents and pay the same per person rate, because there is only one price category for everyone in a room.
Breakfast at the hotel on day 2 is included. Lunch on both days and dinner on the first evening are not included. Your guide stops at places with good local food, so plan a small daily budget for meals and drinks.
Bring your passport, an overnight bag, comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen, a water bottle and modest clothing for the churches. Baptism at Yardenit is optional. If you want to take part, pack a towel and a change of clothes. White robes can be rented on site for a small fee.
