Private Tours in Israel
Start in a port that was busy before the Pharaohs and finish on a boulevard full of Bauhaus buildings and coffee bars. This private Tel Aviv tour gives you your own licensed guide and an air-conditioned car for the day, so you see the best of Jaffa and the White City without maps, tickets or waiting for a group.
You drive the beach promenade to old Jaffa, walk its stone lanes and artists' quarter, look out over the harbor linked to the story of Jonah, and browse the flea market. Back in Tel Aviv you explore Carmel Market, Rothschild Boulevard, Independence Hall, Dizengoff Street and Rabin Square, with time for a museum if you like.
A private Tel Aviv tour works well on your first day in Israel, between cruise and hotel, or as a relaxed break from long trips to Jerusalem. Your guide shapes the day around you, whether that means food tastings, art galleries, architecture or simply the best spot for a coffee by the sea.
Pickup is from your hotel or home in Tel Aviv, with Herzliya and Jerusalem also possible, and your private Tel Aviv tour can run up to 10 hours. Prefer a short group walk? See our Tel Aviv walking tour and Jaffa walking tour, or browse all private tours in Israel.
Numbers match the itinerary below. Solid lines are walking legs, dashed lines are drives. Map is for orientation only.
Your guide meets you at your hotel or home. Herzliya and Jerusalem pickups can also be arranged. You drive south along the seafront promenade, with the Mediterranean on one side and the hotel line on the other, as your guide introduces the story of Tel Aviv-Yafo.
Walk up to the hilltop of old Jaffa, one of the oldest port towns in the world. Your guide shows you excavations from biblical and Egyptian times and the views back over the Tel Aviv skyline.
Wander the narrow stone lanes named after the zodiac signs, step into small galleries and studios, and find the wishing bridge. It is a great place for unique gifts made by local artists.
Stroll the old harbor, mentioned in the Bible as the place where Jonah set sail before his famous meeting with the whale. Today fishing boats share the dock with cafes and restored warehouses.
Browse vintage furniture, brass lamps, old records and modern design shops in the Jaffa flea market, one of the liveliest corners of the city. On Saturdays many stalls are closed.
Dive into Carmel Market, the city's busiest food market, for fresh juice, spices, baklava and street food. It is the perfect lunch stop. Want a deeper taste? Try our Tel Aviv food tour at Carmel Market. The market is closed on Saturdays.
Walk the tree-lined boulevard at the core of the White City of Tel Aviv, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and stop at Independence Hall, where David Ben-Gurion declared the State of Israel in 1948.
Drive along Dizengoff Street, famous for its cafes and boutiques, to Rabin Square and the memorial to Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. Your guide shares the stories behind the city's modern history.
Finish with a visit to the Tel Aviv Museum of Art or ANU Museum of the Jewish People, or simply relax at a cafe or bar of your choice. You can also end the tour here and stay on in the city.
Your driver takes you back to your hotel or home. Heading to Jerusalem next? Take a look at our private Jerusalem tour.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
