4 Day Jewish Israel Tour

  • Duration4 days
  • Starts07:15 AM, hotel pickup
  • GuideEnglish
  • Group sizeUp to 45 travelers
  • CancellationNon-refundable: this tour includes pre-paid hotel nights.

Overview

From Herod's desert fortress to a Talmudic synagogue in the Golan, this 4 day Jewish Israel tour follows 3,000 years of Jewish history across the whole country. You float in the Dead Sea, walk beneath Jerusalem in the City of David, explore the coast from Caesarea to Acre and finish high in the Golan Heights. That is four fully guided days and three hotel nights, with a guide who ties every stop back to the story of the Jewish people.

Day 1 heads down through the Judean Desert to Masada and its last stand against Rome, then on to a Dead Sea beach. Day 2 goes deep into Jewish Jerusalem, with King David's Tomb, the Sephardic synagogues, the Herodian mansions, the Western Wall and the City of David. Day 3 covers Caesarea, the Baha'i Gardens in Haifa, the Rosh Hanikra grottoes and Acre, where Jewish underground fighters were held by the British. Day 4 climbs into the Golan for the ancient village at Katzrin and the lookout on Mount Bental.

This 4 day Jewish Israel tour suits families, Jewish heritage travelers and first-time visitors who want to understand the country, not just photograph it. Each region gets a full day, so you are not racing from the desert to the border in a single trip. Four days is long enough to cover the south, Jerusalem, the coast and the north, and short enough to fit around a city stay in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem.

On day 1, pickup is from your hotel in Tel Aviv at around 07:15 or in Jerusalem at around 08:30, and on the northern days it is often earlier. You stay 3 nights in tourist class hotels with breakfast, confirmed on your booking voucher. Rooms take a maximum of 2 adults, so choose a double room for 2 travelers or a single room if you travel solo, and the booking form shows the exact per person price. Masada park entrance with the cable car is paid on the day. The 4 day Jewish Israel tour is non-refundable because the hotel nights are pre-paid. Want to add more? The price covers hotel pickup and drop-off in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, a licensed English-speaking guide on all four days, an air-conditioned vehicle, 3 nights in tourist class hotels and breakfast on days 2, 3 and 4. You pay per person, and the rate depends on your room: a double room for 2 travelers or a single room if you travel solo or want your own room. Rooms take a maximum of 2 adults. Children pay the same per person rate as adults, and the booking form shows the exact price for your date, room type and pickup city. Masada National Park entrance with the round-trip cable car is not included: it costs about $32 per person, paid on the day.

What time is pickup, and from which cities?

You choose Tel Aviv or Jerusalem when you book. On day 1, pickup from Tel Aviv hotels is usually around 07:15 and from Jerusalem hotels around 08:30. The northern days often start earlier. Pickups can begin 30 to 60 minutes before the listed time, and we confirm your exact time the day before.

Where do I stay for the three nights?

You spend 3 nights in tourist class hotels with breakfast. Hotel names and addresses are confirmed on your booking voucher. Dinners are not included, so your evenings are free.

Can I cancel or change my date?

This package is non-refundable, because the hotel nights are paid in advance as soon as you book. If your plans change, contact us and we will try to move you to another date, subject to availability.

Which days does the tour depart?

The tour currently departs on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Open dates change through the year, so check the booking calendar for the dates available right now.

Can three people share a room?

No. Rooms on this package take a maximum of 2 adults, so a group of three books one double room and one single room. Contact us if you need help with a larger family.

Do I need my passport, and is there a dress code?
