This 15 day Israel and Jordan tour is a complete journey through the Holy Land and its neighbor, starting at Ben Gurion Airport and ending in Amman. You spend a week on Israel's classic day tours, fly south to Eilat, then cross into Jordan for Petra, a tent night in Wadi Rum, the mosaics of Madaba, Mount Nebo, Roman Jerash and the capital Amman. Entrance fees, an English-speaking guide and breakfast every day are included.
From your Tel Aviv hotel you tour the Old City of Jerusalem, Masada and the Dead Sea, Jericho and Bethlehem, Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, Caesarea, Haifa and Acre, Tel Aviv and Jaffa, and Safed with Tiberias and Mount Meron. On day 9 you fly to Eilat, and on day 10 you cross into Jordan for a guided visit to Petra. Day 11 brings a 4x4 tour of Wadi Rum and a night in a desert tent, day 12 Madaba and Mount Nebo, day 13 Jerash, day 14 an Amman city tour, and day 15 your airport transfer.
This 15 day Israel and Jordan tour suits travelers who want depth rather than speed. Christian pilgrims, Jewish heritage travelers and history lovers will each find full days built for them. Basing the first eight nights in Tel Aviv means less packing, and the domestic flight to Eilat saves a long drive before the Jordan part of the trip.
Your Ben Gurion Airport arrival transfer is included. Choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels, priced per person in a double room for 2 or more travelers or in a single room if you travel solo, and note that the Wadi Rum night is spent in a tent at a desert camp. Children pay a lower rate on the double room options, and the booking form shows the exact price for your option and number of travelers. Because the hotel nights and the domestic flight are pre-paid, this 15 day Israel and Jordan tour is non-refundable. Compare our 7 day Israel and Jordan tour, the Israel, Jordan and Egypt tour or all Jordan package tours. The tour departs daily, subject to availability, so choose your date and book now.

Pickup is at 07:15 from your Tel Aviv hotel, or 08:30 in Jerusalem, and the day opens with a panoramic view from the Mount of Olives over the Temple Mount and the Garden of Gethsemane. You enter the Old City through the Armenian Quarter to the Western Wall, walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and continue along the Byzantine Cardo through the Jewish Quarter. On Saturdays you visit the Room of the Last Supper and David's Tomb on Mount Zion, and on other days you visit Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust museum.
After a 07:15 pickup you drive to the Dead Sea, and at 11:30 your tour of Masada begins, with the cable car ride included in your package. After a lunch stop at a local restaurant you bathe in the Dead Sea from 14:00. On the drive back you pass Ein Gedi, the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found and a view of Jericho, and the tour ends around 18:30.
Pickup is at 07:15 in Tel Aviv or 08:30 in Jerusalem, and you drive down past the Inn of the Good Samaritan to the sea level marker. Above Jericho you see the Mount of Temptation, where tradition says Jesus fasted for 40 days, then continue to Bethlehem and across Manger Square to the Church of the Nativity, with its 4th century mosaic floor beneath the later one. You also see the Church of Saint Catherine and the grotto where Saint Jerome translated the Bible into Latin, pass the Milk Grotto and stop at Shepherds' Field before returning around 18:00.
Pickup is at 07:15 in Tel Aviv or 05:50 in Jerusalem, and the road north crosses the Armageddon plain with a view of Megiddo and a stop at Mount Precipice. In Nazareth you visit the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of Saint Joseph, then pass Cana on the way to Capernaum, the home of Peter, and the Benedictine church that marks the miracle of the loaves and fish. After passing Tiberias you can be baptized in the Jordan River if you wish, and you see Mount Tabor on the way back to Tel Aviv around 18:00.
Drive north along the Mediterranean to Caesarea, where your guide shows you the Roman theater still used for concerts, the hippodrome, a Roman temple and the excavated rooms and gateways. In Haifa you tour the Baha'i Shrine and its 19 terraced gardens, then ride the cable car down to the sea grottoes of Rosh Hanikra. On the way back you explore Crusader Acre and its old prison, used under Ottoman rule and later by the British, before returning to your hotel around 18:00.
The day starts at ANU, the Museum of the Jewish People, which traces Jewish history and culture, followed by a drive through Tel Aviv's business and entertainment districts and a stop at Rabin Square, where Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated. You then tour Old Jaffa, one of the oldest port cities in the world, with its ancient remains and artists' quarter. The afternoon includes a walk through Neve Tzedek, founded in 1887, the craft stalls of Nahalat Binyamin and the cafes of Sheinkin Street before you return to your hotel.
Drive north with a view of Megiddo to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee, where you tour ancient remains and tombs from the 1st to the 5th centuries, including the tomb of Rabbi Meir Baal Haness, a pupil of Rabbi Akiva. In Safed you visit the Ari synagogue and wander the alleys, galleries and visitor center of the old city. The day ends at Mount Meron at the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, linked by tradition to the Zohar, where crowds light bonfires every year on Lag BaOmer.
After checking out of your hotel, you are taken to the airport for your domestic flight south. You land at Ramon Airport and transfer to your hotel in Eilat. The rest of the day is free on the Red Sea, and you sleep at your hotel in Eilat.
A driver collects you from your Eilat hotel between 08:15 and 08:30 and takes you to the Jordan border, where you get help with the crossing. In Petra a licensed guide leads you through the Siq to the Treasury, with an optional horse ride for the first 200 meters (a small tip for the handler is expected), then on to the Roman theater, facades, tombs, cisterns and temples. After lunch at a local restaurant you check in to your hotel for a free evening, and you sleep at your hotel in Petra.
After breakfast you head to Wadi Rum, the desert valley listed by UNESCO for its landscapes and rock art. A two-hour 4x4 tour takes you through sand and sandstone mountains and introduces you to the Nabataean past and the Bedouin way of life. After the tour you check into your tent at a desert camp for the night.
A driver picks you up from your Wadi Rum camp and takes you north to Madaba, where you start touring with your guide. At Saint George's Church you see the Madaba mosaic map of the Holy Land, made in the 6th century from about two million pieces of colored stone. You then visit Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land, and its early Christian church with more mosaics, before driving to your hotel in Amman.
At 09:00 a driver meets you at your Amman hotel for the drive north to Jerash, once called the Pompeii of the East. You walk through Hadrian's Arch, built for the emperor's visit in 130 AD, past the hippodrome and the Forum to the Temple of Artemis, the Colonnaded Street and the Nymphaeum. Afterward you return to your hotel in Amman.
Your driver collects you from your hotel in the morning for a tour of the Amman Citadel and its archaeological museum, with finds more than 10,000 years old. You then visit the 2nd century Roman Theater, built into the hillside when the city was called Philadelphia, and walk through Jabal Amman, one of the oldest parts of the city. You are back at your hotel around 17:00.
After breakfast you check out of your hotel and are driven to the airport for your flight home. If you would like more time in Jordan, you can add a hotel night after the tour on the booking form. This is the end of your journey through Israel and Jordan.
