Israel Package Tours
Israel's north fits Roman ruins, Gospel shores and volcanic hills into a small corner of the map, and this northern Israel 3 day tour gives each part a full day. You climb into the Golan Heights, visit Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, then follow the Mediterranean coast from Caesarea to Haifa, Rosh Hanikra and Acre. Every day is fully guided, with two hotel nights in between.
Day 1 drives north past Megiddo to a high view over the Sea of Galilee, then up into the Golan for the ancient village and museum at Katzrin and the old Syrian bunkers on Mount Bental. Day 2 covers Mount Precipice, the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Church of Saint Joseph in Nazareth, Capernaum on the lakeshore and the baptismal site at Yardenit. Day 3 brings Herod's port at Caesarea, the Baha'i Gardens in Haifa, the sea grottoes of Rosh Hanikra and the Crusader halls of Acre.
This northern Israel 3 day tour fits Christian pilgrims, history lovers and travelers who have already seen Jerusalem and want the green side of the country. The north is spread out, so squeezing it into one day means long hours in the vehicle and quick photo stops. Three days give each region the time it deserves, from a quiet moment by the lake at Capernaum to an unhurried walk along the sea walls of Acre.
Pickup is from your hotel in Tel Aviv at around 07:15 or in Jerusalem at around 06:00, since the drive north is long. You spend 2 nights in tourist class hotels with breakfast, confirmed on your booking voucher, and you are dropped back at your hotel in either city after day 3. Choose a double or single room, and the booking form shows the exact per person price for your date, room type and pickup city. With pre-paid hotel nights, the northern Israel 3 day tour is non-refundable. Prefer something shorter? See the Nazareth and Sea of Galilee 2 day tour, the Golan Heights day tour or our Caesarea, Haifa and Acre tour. Pick an open date on the calendar and book your seats today.
Numbers match the itinerary below. Solid lines are walking legs, dashed lines are drives. Map is for orientation only.
Pickup from Tel Aviv hotels is at around 07:15, and from Jerusalem hotels at around 06:00 because of the long drive north. Pickups can start 30 to 60 minutes earlier, and we confirm your exact time the day before. The road follows the coast, then crosses the Jezreel Valley with a view of Tel Megiddo, the biblical Armageddon.
Stop above the southern tip of the Sea of Galilee for a wide view of the lake with the Golan Heights rising behind it. You then cross the Jordan River and climb past Hamat Gader, where the Romans built hot spring baths almost 2,000 years ago.
From this lookout high on the Golan you see the whole lake below you and the city of Tiberias on the far shore. Your guide explains why these heights have mattered so much to every army that held them.
Walk through a partly restored village from the Talmudic period, with a basalt synagogue, stone houses and an olive oil press. In the town of Katzrin, the Golan Antiquities Museum displays finds from the region and tells the story of Gamla, a Jewish city from the Second Temple era.
Finish the day on Mount Bental, among bunkers and trenches captured from the Syrian army in 1967. From the top you look across the UN buffer zone, in place since 1974, to the town of Quneitra in Syria.
Check in to your tourist class hotel, which is named on your booking voucher. Dinner is not included, so the evening is yours. Breakfast is served the next morning before day 2.
After breakfast you are picked up from your hotel and head for Mount Precipice, where an angry crowd tried to throw Jesus off the cliff (Luke 4). The view stretches over the Jezreel Valley toward Mount Tabor.
In Nazareth you visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, built where tradition says the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary. Next door, the Church of Saint Joseph stands over the place remembered as Joseph's workshop.
Pass Cana on the way to Capernaum, the lakeside town at the foot of the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus based his ministry. You see the house of Peter and visit the Church of the Multiplication, then follow the shore past Tiberias.
At Yardenit, where the Jordan River leaves the Sea of Galilee, you can take part in a baptism ceremony if you wish. On the way back you pass Mount Tabor, the traditional mountain of the Transfiguration.
Return to your tourist class hotel for a free evening. Breakfast is included the next morning, and you are picked up again for the coastal day.
The last day starts at Caesarea, the port city King Herod built and named after Caesar. Walk through the Roman theater that still hosts concerts, the hippodrome and the remains of a temple that once looked over the harbor.
Drive up the coast to Haifa to see the Baha'i Gardens, 19 terraces of flowers and lawns falling down Mount Carmel toward the bay. The golden dome of the shrine sits at their center.
At Israel's northern tip, a cable car carries you down the white cliff to the Rosh Hanikra grottoes. Inside, the sea surges through tunnels carved by thousands of years of waves.
Heading south you stop in Acre (Akko), where Crusader halls, Ottoman walls and busy markets sit side by side. You see the moat and walls that stopped Napoleon, plus the old prison from the British Mandate era.
After Acre you ride back in the air-conditioned vehicle. You are dropped off at your hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem after three full days in the north.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.

The price covers hotel pickup and drop-off in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, a licensed English-speaking guide on all three days, an air-conditioned vehicle, 2 nights in tourist class hotels and breakfast on days 2 and 3. Yes, the Yardenit stop on day 2 gives you time to take part in a baptism if you wish. Robes and towels can be rented or bought on site at your own cost, so bring a change of clothes.
Carry a valid passport, since you may be asked for it at checkpoints. Churches in Nazareth and Capernaum need modest dress, so cover knees and shoulders. Shorts may lead to refused entry at holy places.
Walking is moderate. Expect uneven ground at Katzrin, Caesarea and Acre, slopes on Mount Bental and some steps in the grottoes. Good walking shoes and a normal level of fitness are enough.
Children aged 4 and up are welcome and pay the same per person rate as adults. Breakfast at the hotel on days 2 and 3 is included, while lunches, dinners and drinks are not.
Bring your passport, comfortable shoes, a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. Add a light jacket for the Golan, which can be cool and windy, a scarf for churches, an overnight bag and some cash for lunch and tips.
