This 7 day Jordan tour takes you from the hills of Amman to the rose-red city of Petra and ends with two easy nights on the shore of the Dead Sea. Along the way you see the Madaba mosaic map, the view from Mount Nebo, Karak Castle and the baptism site on the Jordan River. Airport meet and assist, all transport, a guide, entrance fees and hotels with breakfast are included.

Day 1 is your arrival at Queen Alia International Airport and transfer to Amman. Day 2 covers the Citadel, the Roman Theater, the archaeological museum and the downtown souk. Day 3 heads south through Madaba, Mount Nebo and Karak to Petra, and day 4 is a full day inside Petra with lunch included. Day 5 visits the baptism site on the way to the Dead Sea, day 6 is a free day to float and relax, and day 7 is your airport transfer.

Day 1Arrival in Amman
A member of our team meets you at Queen Alia International Airport and helps you through arrival. You are then driven to your hotel in Amman to rest and settle in. Overnight in Amman.

Day 2Amman city tour
Explore the capital, starting at the Amman Citadel, a hilltop site that has been lived on for centuries, and the well preserved Roman Theater, which once seated more than 6,000 people. Visit the Jordan Archaeological Museum, then finish in the downtown souk, a lively market for gold and silver jewelry, coffee pots, charms and handicrafts. Overnight in Amman.

Day 3Madaba, Mount Nebo and Karak
After breakfast you head south to Madaba to see the famous Madaba mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Greek Orthodox church. Continue to Mount Nebo, where Moses was allowed one look at the Promised Land, and then to the hilltop fortress of Karak Castle. In the evening you drive on to Petra. Overnight in Petra.

Day 4A full day in Petra
After breakfast the whole day belongs to Petra, the Nabataean city carved into sandstone more than 2,000 years ago. Walk through the narrow Siq to your first view of the Treasury, then continue to the amphitheater, tombs, temples and baths, with lunch in Petra included. Return to the same hotel for your second night in Petra.

Day 5Baptism site and the Dead Sea
After breakfast you drive to the Dead Sea, stopping at Bethany Beyond the Jordan, where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Elijah's Hill here is covered with the remains of a Byzantine monastery, churches, a large baptism pool and old water systems. Day 6Free day at the Dead Sea
This day is yours to relax. Float in the Dead Sea, whose water is so salty that nothing can live in it, and enjoy a slow day after the busy touring. Overnight at the Dead Sea.

Day 7Departure
After breakfast you check out and transfer to Queen Alia International Airport in Amman for your flight home. Share your flight time when you book so the transfer can be timed well. Keep some cash ready for the departure tax, which is not included.
