Overview

This luxury Israel Jordan Egypt tour brings together the Holy Land, Petra and three nights on a 5-star Nile cruise ship in 13 days. You base yourself in Tel Aviv for the Israel highlights, fly south for Petra and Wadi Rum, spend a night by the Red Sea in Sharm El Sheikh, then fly on to Cairo and Aswan. Four domestic flights cut out the longest drives, so more of your time goes to the sites themselves.

Day 1 is your arrival and transfer to Tel Aviv. Days 2 to 5 are guided day trips to Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, Caesarea, Haifa and Acre, Jerusalem and Bethlehem, and Masada and the Dead Sea. On day 6 you fly to Ramon Airport and cross into Jordan for Petra, then sleep in a Wadi Rum desert tent. Day 7 is a jeep safari and the transfer to Sharm El Sheikh, and days 8 and 9 cover the Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, Khan el-Khalili, Saqqara and Old Cairo. Days 10 to 13 are on the Nile, from Aswan and Philae to Kom Ombo, Edfu and Luxor, ending with a flight to Cairo.

This luxury Israel Jordan Egypt tour suits couples, friends and mature travelers who want the big sites of three countries without planning every connection themselves. Thirteen days give each country real time: four full touring days in Israel, a day and a half in Jordan and six days in Egypt, including a slow, scenic Nile cruise with meals on board. Upgrading to 4-star or 5-star hotels adds comfort to the land nights as well.

Arrival is easy: a driver meets you at Ben Gurion Airport on day 1, and the Israel tours start from the Dan Hotel meeting point in Tel Aviv between 07:15 and 07:30. Choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels, priced per person in a double room for 2 or more travelers or as a single room for solo travelers, and the booking form shows the exact price for your hotel level and number of travelers. The tour departs daily, subject to availability. Because hotels, flights and the cruise are pre-paid, the luxury Israel Jordan Egypt tour is non-refundable. Are visas and border taxes included?

No. The Jordan visa and border tax and the Egypt visa and border tax are not included. You pay them at the crossings, so bring cash for the fees. Our Israel Jordan border crossing guide explains each step.

Do I need my passport, and can Israeli citizens visit Bethlehem?

Carry a valid passport throughout the trip, since you cross into Jordan, back into Israel and into Egypt, and you need it for the Bethlehem visit. Bethlehem is in Area A of the West Bank, and Israeli citizens are not allowed to enter. Egypt runs its official e-visa service at visa2egypt.gov.eg, so check your nationality there before you travel.

How does the tour start?

A driver meets you at Ben Gurion Airport on day 1 and takes you to your Tel Aviv hotel. From day 2 to day 5, pickup is from the Dan Hotel meeting point in Tel Aviv between 07:15 and 07:30.

What hotel and room options can I book?

Choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels for the land nights. Prices are per person in a double room for 2 or more travelers, or for a single room if you travel solo. The night in Wadi Rum is in a desert tent, and a Petra hotel is possible instead for an extra fee, so ask us when you book.

What is the Nile cruise like?

You spend three nights on a 5-star cruise ship sailing from Aswan to Luxor. Excursions to Philae, Kom Ombo, Edfu and the Luxor West Bank are part of the program, and dinners on board are included. Optional extras include an Abu Simbel tour, a hot air balloon flight and a sound and light show at Karnak.

Can children join?

Yes, children are welcome, and a child rate is available on the double room options. The tour has several early flights and border crossings, so it suits children who travel well.

How much walking is involved?

Expect moderate walking on most days, with steps and uneven ground in Jerusalem, Petra, the Valley of the Kings and the temples along the Nile. Petra is the longest walking day. A normal level of fitness is enough.

When is the best time to travel?

Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons for Petra and Upper Egypt. Summer is very hot in the desert and in Luxor and Aswan, and winter nights in Wadi Rum can be cold. The tour departs daily, subject to availability. Our Israel, Jordan and Egypt travel guide has more planning tips.

Can I cancel this tour?

This tour is non-refundable because hotels, domestic flights and the cruise are paid in advance. If your plans change, contact us and we will check what is possible. Full details are in our booking terms.
