  • Duration7 days
  • StartsDay 1, hotel pickup

  • Group sizeUp to 15 travelers

Overview

This 7 day Israel and Jordan tour lets you tick off the big names of both countries in one well-paced week. You float in the Dead Sea below Masada, walk in the footsteps of Jesus from Bethlehem to Jerusalem and Nazareth, then fly south and cross into Jordan for Petra and the red desert of Wadi Rum. Six hotel nights, an internal flight, entrance fees and help at the border are part of the package.

Day 1 is your arrival at Ben Gurion Airport and transfer to Tel Aviv. Day 2 covers Masada and the Dead Sea, day 3 Jericho and Bethlehem, and day 4 Christian Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives to the Holy Sepulchre. Day 5 explores Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee before an evening flight to Eilat. Day 6 is Petra with a night nearby, and day 7 is a jeep tour in Wadi Rum before your transfer to Amman airport.

The 7 day Israel and Jordan tour suits Christian pilgrims, couples and first-time visitors who want the holy sites plus Jordan's two most famous landscapes without a second week of travel. Sleeping in Petra gives you a free evening near the site, and ending at Amman airport saves the long trip back to Israel. Each day has one clear theme, so the pace feels full but never rushed.

A driver meets you at Ben Gurion Airport, and on day 2 pickup is from the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv or the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem, near your hotel. On day 6 you are collected from your Eilat hotel. You choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels, priced per person in a double room for 2 or more travelers, or a single room if you travel solo, and the booking form shows the exact price for your hotel level and number of travelers. The tour departs daily, subject to availability, and the 7 day Israel and Jordan tour is non-refundable because hotels and the flight are pre-paid. Want something shorter? Frequently asked questions

What does the 7 day Israel and Jordan tour price include?

The price includes 6 hotel nights with breakfast, 6 full touring days with licensed guides, hotel pickup and drop-off, entrance fees, assistance at the border, lunch in Petra, the internal flight from Tel Aviv to the Eilat area and the transfer to Amman airport at the end. The booking form shows the exact price for your hotel level and number of travelers.

Do I need a visa for Jordan, and are border fees included?

The Jordan visa fee and the border taxes are not included in the tour price and are paid at the border, so bring cash. Our team assists you at the crossing. Check the entry rules for your nationality before you travel. Our Israel Jordan border crossing guide explains each step.

What passport rules should I know about?

A valid passport and your Israeli landing card are mandatory, and we need your passport details to make the reservation. Your passport is also needed to enter the Palestinian Authority areas. Israeli citizens cannot enter Bethlehem or Jericho, which are in Area A, so day 3 is not possible for them. Many visa-exempt travelers also need an approved ETA-IL before flying to Israel, so check the official ETA-IL site.

Where is pickup on touring days?

On day 1 you are transferred from Ben Gurion Airport to your hotel. On day 2 pickup is from the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv or the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem, near your hotel. On day 6 you are collected from your Eilat hotel at 08:20 to 08:30, and on day 7 from your Petra hotel at 09:00.

Which hotels will I stay in?

You stay 6 nights on a bed and breakfast basis: in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem for the first nights, then one night in Eilat and one in Petra. You choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels when you book, and your vouchers arrive within 24 hours of confirmation.

Can children join the tour?

Yes. Children sharing a double room with adults pay a lower child rate, shown on the booking form. Petra involves a lot of walking, so plan with younger kids in mind.

How fit do I need to be?

A normal level of fitness is enough. Expect walking on stone streets and steps in Jerusalem, uneven ground at Masada and several kilometers on sand and rock in Petra. Bring comfortable shoes, a hat and water.

When is the best time to go?

Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons for Petra and Wadi Rum. Summer is hot at the Dead Sea and in the desert, and winter evenings in Petra can be cold, so pack layers. A high season supplement may apply on some dates. Our Israel, Jordan and Egypt travel guide has more planning tips.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

This tour is non-refundable because hotels and the internal flight are pre-paid as soon as you book. If your plans change, contact us and we will try to move your dates, subject to availability. Full details are in our booking terms.

Can I add extra nights or a lunch package?

Yes. You can add a night before the tour at a 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotel, or a lunch package for 4 touring days, when you book. Each add-on shows its price on the booking form.
