This private Petra and Wadi Rum tour takes you from your Eilat hotel into southern Jordan for two days with your own guide. You ride a 4x4 through the red sand and sandstone peaks of Wadi Rum, spend the night at a hotel in Petra, and explore the Nabataean city at your own pace the next morning. Border assistance, entrance fees, two lunches and a hotel night with breakfast are included.
Day 1 starts with an 08:00 pickup in Eilat. After the border crossing you drive through Aqaba, Jordan's only seaport, and on to Wadi Rum for two hours of touring by 4x4 in Bedouin country, past rock paintings made thousands of years ago. A late lunch follows, then you continue to your hotel in Petra. On day 2 you walk through the Siq to the Treasury, the royal tombs and the Roman theater, with about three hours of walking and stories about Nabataean history, art and gods. After lunch you drive back via Aqaba and reach the border at around 19:00.
Because the tour is private, nobody else sets the pace, which suits couples, families, photographers and anyone who wants more time at each stop. Two days is the right length for this route: Wadi Rum gets a proper visit instead of a quick photo stop, and Petra gets a full morning after a good night's rest. If you want the two big highlights of southern Jordan in one short trip from Eilat, this private Petra and Wadi Rum tour covers both without rushing.
Pickup is from your hotel in Eilat at 08:00. Choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels, priced per person in a shared double room for 2 or more travelers, or as a single room if you travel solo. Children and infants pay lower rates on the shared room options, and the booking form shows the exact price for your option and number of travelers. The tour departs daily, subject to availability. Because the hotel night is pre-paid, this private Petra and Wadi Rum tour is non-refundable. Want a different pace?
