Israel Package Tours
Jerusalem has more history per street than almost any city on earth, and this Jerusalem 3 day tour gives you three full guided days to take it in. You see the Old City from the Mount of Olives, walk the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, explore the City of David and the streets beneath today's Jewish Quarter, and visit Yad Vashem. Two hotel nights with breakfast mean no daily commute from the coast.
Day 1 combines the Mount of Olives panorama, the Jewish Quarter and the Cardo, the Western Wall, the Via Dolorosa and the Holy Sepulchre, then heads to the new city and Yad Vashem. Day 2 covers the Kidron Valley tombs, King David's Tomb on Mount Zion, the Four Sephardic Synagogues, the Herodian mansions and the ancient water systems of the City of David. Day 3 follows the footsteps of Jesus from the Chapel of the Ascension and Dominus Flevit to Gethsemane, the Pool of Bethesda and the Via Dolorosa.
This Jerusalem 3 day tour suits Christian pilgrims, Jewish heritage travelers and curious first-time visitors who want depth rather than a quick highlights run. A single day in Jerusalem usually means skipping the City of David, Yad Vashem or the quiet churches on the Mount of Olives. With three days you see all of them at a calm pace, with time to stop, pray or simply look.
Pickup is from your hotel in Tel Aviv at around 07:15 or in Jerusalem at around 08:30, and you are dropped back in either city after day 3. You stay 2 nights in tourist class hotels with breakfast, named on your booking voucher. Choose a double room for two travelers, a triple room for three, or a single room, and the booking form shows the exact price for your room type and date. Because the hotel nights are pre-paid, the Jerusalem 3 day tour is non-refundable. The tour departs on set weekdays and the next season opens in January 2027, so check the calendar for open dates. Only have one day? Try the Jerusalem full day tour or the City of David tour, and if you would like Bethlehem and Masada too, see our Christian Jerusalem package with Bethlehem and Masada. Numbers match the itinerary below. Solid lines are walking legs, dashed lines are drives. Map is for orientation only.
Start above the old Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives, with the Old City and the Temple Mount spread out in front of you. Your guide points out where the First and Second Temples stood, plus the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations and the Kidron Valley below.
Enter through Zion Gate and cross the Armenian Quarter into the Jewish Quarter, where the Byzantine Cardo now houses shops in restored Crusader stalls. Then stand at the Western Wall, part of King Herod's retaining wall around the Temple Mount and a place of Jewish prayer for 2,000 years.
Follow the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built over the site of the crucifixion and the tomb of Jesus. Your guide explains how the Byzantine church was damaged and later rebuilt by the Crusaders.
Leave through the market and Jaffa Gate for a short drive through modern Jerusalem. The day ends at Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust memorial, where artifacts, photos and testimony tell the story of Europe's Jewish communities and honor the Righteous Among the Nations.
Check in to your tourist class hotel, named on your booking voucher. Dinner is not included, so the evening is free. Breakfast is served the next morning before day 2.
After breakfast you are picked up from your hotel for another view from the Mount of Olives, then drive down the Kidron Valley. You pass the ancient tombs linked to Absalom, the priest Zechariah and the sons of Hezir, carved into the rock more than 2,000 years ago.
On Mount Zion you visit King David's Tomb, where a velvet-draped cenotaph marked with a lyre and crown is a place of Jewish prayer. The Room of the Last Supper stands in the same building complex above.
Back through Zion Gate, you see the Four Sephardic Synagogues, restored after 1967, and walk along the Cardo past the remains of a wall from King Hezekiah's time. Below today's streets you explore 2,000-year-old Herodian mansions with original mosaics and ritual baths, then pause at the Western Wall to leave a prayer note.
Exit through Dung Gate to the City of David, the 3,000-year-old core of Jerusalem. See the water systems cut by the Canaanites and by King Hezekiah, including the famous Siloam tunnel, and rest by the Gihon Spring where Solomon was anointed king.
Return to your hotel for a free evening. Breakfast is included the next morning before the final day.
After pickup you head up the Mount of Olives to the Chapel of the Ascension, which holds a rock said to bear the footprint of Jesus. Nearby, the Church of the Pater Noster displays the Lord's Prayer in more than a hundred languages around the grotto where Jesus taught.
Walk down the slope to Dominus Flevit, the teardrop-shaped church where Jesus wept over Jerusalem, with its famous window framing the Old City. Continue to the Church of All Nations and the ancient olive trees of the Garden of Gethsemane.
Cross the Kidron Valley and enter the Old City by Lions' Gate. You see the Pool of Bethesda from the Gospel of John and the Crusader Church of Saint Anne, built over the grotto honored as the birthplace of Mary.
Beneath the Convent of the Sisters of Zion you see a Second Temple era cistern and the Lithostrotos, Roman paving stones linked to the trial of Jesus before Pilate. From there you walk the Via Dolorosa, the route Jesus carried the cross.
After the Via Dolorosa you return to the air-conditioned vehicle. You are dropped off at your hotel in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem at the end of day 3.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
