  • Group sizeUp to 15 travelers

Overview

This private 10 day Jewish Israel tour follows the story of the Jewish people from the stones of Jerusalem to the mystical lanes of Safed, with your own guide and driver every step of the way. A limousine meets you at Ben Gurion Airport, and the route takes in the Western Wall, underground Jerusalem, Masada, two nights at the Dead Sea, the Golan Heights and the tombs of the great sages. Breakfast, entrance fees to the sites on the program and all airport transportation are included.

Days 1 to 3 are in Jerusalem: arrival, the Old City, Yad Vashem and the Knesset, then a day underground in the Jewish Quarter and the City of David. Day 4 brings Masada and the Dead Sea, and day 5 is a relaxing spa day by the water. Day 6 follows the coast to Caesarea, Haifa, Rosh Hanikra and Acre, and days 7 and 8 explore the Galilee, the Golan Heights, Banias and Safed from a kibbutz base. Day 9 visits Tiberias, Safed and Mount Meron before a night in Tel Aviv, and day 10 is your transfer to the airport.

The 10 day Jewish Israel tour is made for families, couples and small groups who want a deep, personal connection to Jewish heritage at their own pace. With a private guide you can linger at the Western Wall, spend more time at a grave of a sage or skip ahead when the kids are tired. The program is flexible, so days can be added or removed to match your schedule.

Your hotels follow the route: 3 nights in Jerusalem, 2 at the Dead Sea, 3 at a kibbutz hotel in the north and 1 in Tel Aviv. You choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels, priced per person in a double room for 2 or more travelers, or a single room if you travel solo, and the booking form shows the exact price for your hotel level and number of travelers. The tour departs daily, subject to availability, and this 10 day Jewish Israel tour is non-refundable because the hotel nights are pre-paid. Frequently asked questions

What does the 10 day Jewish Israel tour price include?

The price includes a private licensed guide and driver on the touring days, limousine transfers to and from Ben Gurion Airport, hotel pickup and drop-off, entrance fees to the sites on the program, 9 hotel nights and breakfast every day. The booking form shows the exact price for your hotel level and number of travelers.

Is this a private tour?

Yes. You travel with your own private guide and driver, not with a group. The program is flexible, so days can be added or removed and the pace adjusted to suit you.

Do I need my passport?

Yes. Bring a valid passport and keep it with you, since hotels ask for it at check-in and it can be checked on the road. This tour stays in Israel and does not visit Bethlehem or Jericho. Many visa-exempt travelers also need an approved ETA-IL before flying to Israel, so check the official ETA-IL site.

Where does the tour start?

A limousine meets you at Ben Gurion Airport on day 1 and takes you to your hotel in Jerusalem. On touring days your guide and driver collect you from your hotel, and on day 10 you are driven back to the airport.

Which hotels will I stay in?

You stay 3 nights in Jerusalem, 2 nights at the Dead Sea, 3 nights at a kibbutz hotel in the north and 1 night in Tel Aviv, all with breakfast. You choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels when you book, and hotel names are listed on your voucher.

Is the tour suitable for children?

Yes, a private tour works well for families. Children sharing a double room with adults pay a lower child rate, shown on the booking form. Yad Vashem does not admit children under 10, so your guide can adjust that visit.

How fit do I need to be?

A normal level of fitness is enough. Expect walking on stone streets and steps in Jerusalem and Safed, some stairs down into the underground sites and uneven ground at Masada and in the Golan.

When is the best time to go?

Spring and autumn are ideal for touring Jerusalem and the north. Winter is a good time for the Dead Sea but can be cool and rainy in Safed and the Golan, while summer is hot, especially at the Dead Sea. Our Israel, Jordan and Egypt travel guide has more planning tips.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

This tour is non-refundable because the hotel nights are pre-paid as soon as you book. If your plans change, contact us and we will try to move your dates, subject to availability. Full details are in our booking terms.

Can I add lunches or extra nights?

Yes. You can add a lunch package for 8 touring days, or a night before or after the tour at a 3-star or 5-star hotel, when you book. Each add-on shows its price on the booking form.
