This biblical Israel and Jordan tour packs the holy sites of the Gospels and the rose-red city of Petra into one guided week. You walk the Old City of Jerusalem twice, follow Jesus through Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, float in the Dead Sea, stand in Manger Square in Bethlehem and finish with a full day in Petra. Breakfast, entrance fees on the route and an internal flight to Eilat are part of the package.
Day 1 covers Jerusalem old and new, from the Mount of Olives to the Holy Sepulchre and Yad Vashem. Day 2 follows the coast to Caesarea, Haifa, Rosh Hanikra and Acre. Day 3 is Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, and day 4 heads south to Masada, Qumran and the Dead Sea. Day 5 traces the places where Jesus walked in Jerusalem, and day 6 visits Jericho and Bethlehem before your flight to Eilat. Day 7 crosses into Jordan for Petra.
This biblical Israel and Jordan tour suits Christian pilgrims, church groups, couples and first-time visitors who want the main Bible sites with a licensed guide and no planning on their side. Seven days is the sweet spot: long enough to give Jerusalem two separate days and add Petra, short enough to fit a one-week vacation. Each day has one region, so you are never rushing between distant sites.
Days 1 to 6 start with pickup at 07:15 to 07:30 near the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv, and your hotel is close by. On day 7 you are collected from your Eilat hotel. You choose 3-star, 4-star or 5-star hotels, priced per person in a double room for 2 or more travelers, or a single room if you travel solo, and the booking form shows the exact price for your hotel level and number of travelers. The biblical Israel and Jordan tour departs daily, subject to availability, and is non-refundable because the hotel nights are pre-paid. Short on time? Numbers match the itinerary below. Solid lines are walking legs, dashed lines are drives. Map is for orientation only.
Pickup is at 07:15 to 07:30 near the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv, and you drive up to Jerusalem for the view from the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Inside the Old City of Jerusalem you pass the Armenian Quarter, the Cardo and the Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall, then follow the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. After time in the Old City markets, the day ends at Yad Vashem, Israel's Holocaust memorial. You return to your hotel in Tel Aviv for the night.
The coastal day starts in Caesarea, Herod's Roman port, with its theater, hippodrome and temple remains. In Haifa you see the Baha'i Gardens and shrine on Mount Carmel, then ride down to the sea grottoes of Rosh Hanikra on the Lebanese border. The last stop is Acre, where you explore the Crusader city and the old Turkish prison before driving back to Tel Aviv for the night.
Head north to the Mount of Precipitation and into Nazareth for the Basilica of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. You pass Cana on the way to the Sea of Galilee, the Mount of Beatitudes and Capernaum, the fishing village where Jesus taught. At Yardenit on the Jordan River, those who wish can be baptized, and Mount Tabor comes into view on the way back to Tel Aviv.
Today you head into the Judean Desert to Masada, where your guide shows you Herod's palaces, the bathhouse, the synagogue and the Roman siege camps. Driving north along the shore, you pass the Ein Gedi oasis and the Qumran caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. The afternoon ends with a swim in the Dead Sea, so pack a swimsuit and towel. You sleep at your Tel Aviv hotel.
A second Jerusalem day follows the final week of Jesus' life, starting on the Mount of Olives at the Church of the Ascension, Pater Noster and Dominus Flevit. You walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane and enter the Old City through the Lions' Gate to the Church of St. Anne and the Pools of Bethesda. The visit continues to the Praetorium, traditionally linked to the trial of Jesus. Dress modestly today, with shoulders covered and shorts to the knee.
Check out in the morning and bring your suitcase along. You visit Jericho and the Mount of Temptation, then Bethlehem for Manger Square, the Church of the Nativity, the Crusader church, the Milk Grotto and Shepherds' Fields. After the tour you are dropped at Ben Gurion Airport for the included flight to the Eilat area, which lands at Ramon Airport. You spend the night at your hotel in Eilat.
Your Eilat hotel pickup is at 08:20 to 08:30, followed by the Wadi Araba border crossing into Jordan. In Petra a licensed local guide leads you through the Siq to the Treasury, the temples and the royal tomb facades carved into the sandstone. Lunch is included at around 15:30, and your voucher confirms the return arrangements at the end of the tour.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.
Tour ends with: Petra, the Rose City of Jordan
On days 1 to 6, pickup is at about 07:15 to 07:30 at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv. Your hotel will be nearby, and Google directions to the pickup point are in your voucher. On day 7, pickup is at about 08:20 to 08:30 from your hotel in Eilat.

Day 7 crosses from Eilat into Jordan at the Wadi Araba border. The Jordan visa and border tax are not included and are paid at the border, so bring cash. Carry a passport valid for at least six months. Bethlehem and Jericho are in Area A, which Israeli citizens cannot enter.
Churches and holy sites require modest dress: shoulders covered and shorts or skirts to the knee. Visitors who are not dressed modestly may be refused entry.

The Jordan visa and the border tax are not included in the tour price. They are paid at the border, so keep cash on hand for day 7. Check the entry rules for your nationality before you travel. Our Israel Jordan border crossing guide explains each step.
Carry your passport every day of the tour, since it is needed at checkpoints and for the Jordan border crossing. Make sure it is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. Israeli citizens cannot enter Bethlehem or Jericho, which are in Area A, so they cannot join day 6 as planned. Please contact us before booking if this applies to you. Many visa-exempt travelers also need an approved ETA-IL before flying to Israel, so check the official ETA-IL site.

Yes. Children sharing a double room with adults pay a lower child rate, and the booking form shows it. Note that Yad Vashem does not admit children under 10, and the days are long, so this tour suits kids who are comfortable with early starts.
A normal level of fitness is enough. Expect a lot of walking on stone streets, steps and slopes in Jerusalem, and uneven ground at Masada. Petra is the most demanding day, with several kilometers of walking on sand and rock.
Spring and autumn bring the most comfortable weather for walking in Jerusalem and Petra. Summer is hot, especially at the Dead Sea and in Petra, so bring a hat and plenty of water. Winter days are cooler and can be rainy, so pack warm layers. Our Israel, Jordan and Egypt travel guide has more planning tips.
This tour is non-refundable because the hotel nights are pre-paid as soon as you book. If your plans change, contact us and we will try to move you to other dates, subject to availability. Full details are in our booking terms.
Yes. You can add a pre-tour or post-tour hotel night, a lunch package for the touring days or an airport transfer when you book. Each add-on shows its price on the booking form.
