If you want the three headline countries of the Middle East in one trip, this Israel Jordan Egypt tour with Luxor gets you there in 10 days. You see the Galilee, the Mediterranean coast, Masada and Jerusalem in Israel, cross into Jordan for Petra and a night in a Wadi Rum desert tent, then spend the last four days in Egypt, from the Pyramids to the temples of Luxor and the seafront of Alexandria.
The route moves in one clear line. Days 1 to 3 are guided day trips in Israel: Caesarea, Haifa, Rosh Hanikra and Acre, then Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee, then Masada and the Dead Sea. Day 4 is Jerusalem, followed by a domestic flight to Ramon Airport and a night in Eilat. Day 5 is Petra, and day 6 brings a jeep safari in Wadi Rum and the overland drive to Cairo. Days 7 and 8 cover Giza, Saqqara, Memphis, the Egyptian Museum and the Citadel, then sleeper trains carry you to Luxor and back for a full day on both banks of the Nile. Day 10 ends in Alexandria and at Cairo Airport.
This Israel Jordan Egypt tour with Luxor suits travelers who want a lot of sightseeing in limited time and are happy with early starts. Two nights on sleeper trains let you reach Luxor without losing a touring day, and the Alexandria finale is something most 10 day routes leave out. It works well for first-time visitors to the region, couples and friends, and history lovers who want Roman, biblical, Nabataean and Pharaonic sites in one trip.
The Israel touring days start from the meeting point at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv, usually between 07:15 and 07:30 (08:15 on day 4). Hotels are on a bed and breakfast basis. You book a shared room price per person or a single room as a solo traveler, and you can add a 4-star or 5-star hotel upgrade. The booking form shows the exact price for your room and number of travelers. The tour departs daily, subject to availability. Because the Israel Jordan Egypt tour with Luxor includes pre-paid hotels, flights and trains, it is non-refundable. Want a slower pace? Pickup is from the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv between 07:15 and 07:30, and you head up the coast to the Roman theater, hippodrome and temple ruins of Caesarea. After the Bahai Gardens and Shrine in Haifa, you ride the cable car down to the sea grottoes at Rosh Hanikra. The day ends with a walking tour of the Crusader city and the old Turkish prison in Acre, then a transfer to your hotel for the night.
Pickup is again from the Dan Hotel meeting point between 07:15 and 07:30 for the drive across the Armageddon plain, with a view over Megiddo. In Nazareth you stop at the Mount of Precipitation and visit the Churches of the Annunciation and Saint Joseph. You then pass Cana on the way to the Mount of Beatitudes and the Benedictine church at Capernaum, drive along the Sea of Galilee, stop at Yardenit for an optional symbolic baptism and see Mount Tabor on the way back. The night is spent at your hotel.
After pickup between 07:15 and 07:30 you drive down through the Judean Desert, past the Inn of the Good Samaritan and the sea level marker. A cable car takes you up to Masada, where you tour Herod's palaces, the Roman barracks and the ancient synagogue. The afternoon is for swimming and floating in the mineral-rich Dead Sea before you return to your hotel for the night.
Pickup today is a little later, between 08:15 and 08:30, for the drive to Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives viewpoint and Gethsemane. A walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem takes in Zion Gate, the Cardo, the Western Wall, the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, followed by the markets and the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum. You then transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for a domestic flight to Ramon Airport and a shuttle into Eilat, where you check in for the night (on Fridays this leg is an overland transfer from Jerusalem to Eilat).
At 08:30 you are picked up from your hotel for the transfer to the Arava border, where you get full help with the crossing formalities. A Jordanian driver meets you on the other side for the scenic two-hour drive to Petra. Your guided tour covers the Treasury, the amphitheater, the royal tombs, caves and temples, and then you continue to Wadi Rum to sleep in a desert tent.
At about 09:00 a 4x4 jeep takes you through the sandstone landscapes of Wadi Rum, and you learn how the Bedouin live in the desert. Afterwards you cross back into Israel at the Arava border, pass through Eilat and cross into Egypt at Taba, with help at Egyptian customs. An Egyptian driver then takes you on the long overland drive to Cairo, where you check in to your hotel for the night.
Pickup is at 08:00 for the Giza Plateau, the Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza, with a short camel ride. You continue to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser and the Pyramid of King Teti, then break for lunch at a local restaurant. The day ends at Memphis, the ancient capital, whose open-air museum holds a giant statue of Ramses II, and you spend a second night at your Cairo hotel.
The morning starts at the Egyptian Museum, home to one of the world's great collections of ancient treasures. You then tour Cairo's historic center and its Coptic churches, followed by the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali. In the evening your driver takes you to the railway station, and you sleep on board the overnight sleeper train to Luxor.
You arrive in Luxor in the morning and spend a full guided day on both banks of the Nile. The visits include the temples of Karnak and Luxor, the Theban Necropolis and the royal tombs of the Valley of the Kings. In the evening you return to the station and sleep on board the overnight sleeper train back to Cairo.
Back in Cairo, you drive straight to Alexandria on the Mediterranean for a full day on the coast. You visit the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey's Pillar, the modern Library of Alexandria, the Citadel of Qaitbay and the Montazah Palace Gardens. The tour ends with a transfer to Cairo International Airport, so plan an evening or night flight home.
You choose your pickup city when you book. We confirm the exact pickup time and place by email or WhatsApp the day before the tour.

It also includes the domestic flight from Ben Gurion Airport to Ramon Airport with a shuttle to Eilat, help at the Arava and Taba border crossings, the overland transfers between countries and the final drop-off at Cairo Airport. No. Jordan and Egypt visa fees and border taxes are not part of the tour price and are paid at the crossings. Our team helps you with the formalities at the Arava and Taba borders, so bring enough cash for the fees and check the visa rules for your nationality before you travel. Our Israel Jordan border crossing guide explains each step.
You need a valid passport for the whole trip, and you should carry it every day. You cross the Israel and Jordan border twice and enter Egypt at Taba, and hotels also ask for it at check-in. Egypt runs its official e-visa service at visa2egypt.gov.eg, so check your nationality there before you travel.
Day 1 starts at the meeting point at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv between 07:15 and 07:30. Airport arrival is not part of day 1, so plan to arrive the day before. You can add a pre-tour hotel night and an airport transfer when you book.
Hotels are on a bed and breakfast basis and are chosen subject to availability at the time of booking. You also spend one night in a desert tent in Wadi Rum and two nights on sleeper trains. Some days start before hotel breakfast opens, so ask reception the night before about a breakfast box. Upgrades to 4-star or 5-star hotels are available as extras.
You can book the shared room price, which is per person for 2 or more travelers sharing a room, or the solo traveler option with a single room. Extras include a pre-tour night, an airport transfer, hotel upgrades, a lunch package and a hot air balloon flight. The booking form shows every price before you pay.
Yes, children are welcome and a child rate is available on the shared room option. Keep in mind this route has long drives, border crossings and two nights on trains, so it suits older children who are used to travel best.
A normal level of fitness is enough, but expect plenty of walking. Petra involves several kilometers on sand and stone paths, and Jerusalem's Old City and the Luxor temples have steps and uneven ground. Some transfer days are long, especially the overland drive to Cairo.
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons, with warm days that suit Petra and Luxor. Summer is very hot in the desert and in Upper Egypt, and winter nights in Wadi Rum can be cold. The tour departs daily, subject to availability, so check the calendar for open dates. Our Israel, Jordan and Egypt travel guide has more planning tips.
This tour is non-refundable because hotels, flights and trains are paid in advance. The order of the day tours may shift between days. If a day tour is canceled for reasons beyond our control, you receive a refund for the value of that day or a different tour in its place. Full details are in our booking terms.
